This was far better then i expected.

Theres been some time since i saw the original "Strul" from 1988, so i was pretty intrigued and interested when i saw the trailer for this reboot. I quickly recognised and was abit surprised of the wide range of familiar faces of the actors. Many famous Swedish actors in it.

This one was actually pretty good. Its one of these cozy, easy to watch, crime thriller/comedy.

I had some mixed feelings sometimes, because it lacks abit in the plot with some holes, but it manages to cover them up, with great acting and a pretty funny manuscript and storytelling.

Definitely worth watching!

The whole wrongfully imprisoned thing is what caught my eye for this one, but I didn't exactly watch enough of the preview to realize it was a foreign language film. So once again it's a balancing act of enjoying what's on-screen while trying to understand context by reading the subtitles.

This was an enjoyable film. It's a very standard film that is predictable if you're smart enough, but I didn't catch certain things soon enough. That being said, even though I felt a little foolish, I still enjoyed the film.

I liked the chemistry of the actors, the story had already caught my eye, and despite the 98 minute runtime you still get a complete beginning, middle, and end completion that is satisfying. A few things feel a bit beyond realistic, but it doesn't take away.

I would watch it again because it's entertaining and engaging. It's fun, and has a satisfying end. The chemistry of actors is good, and the cuteness between Filip Berg and Amy Deasismont is what kind of kept me going until the end. Again, it is a generic story about a wrongful conviction and a man just trying prove his innocence, but good chemistry keeps you until the end.

The non-English language films that are released on the global streaming service NETFLIX always allow for small discoveries. This is also the case with this crime comedy from Sweden, which is a remake of a story (STRUL / AUSGETRICKST by Jonas FRICK) from 1988.

The divorced television technician Conny (Filip BERG) is suspected of murder due to crazy circumstances and is sentenced to a long prison sentence. But there are inconsistencies that the busy police officer Diana (Amy DEASISMONT) comes across during her research. She does everything she can to convince the responsible inspector Helena Malm (Eva MELANDER) of her findings.

The director Jon HOLMBERG does not tell a world-shattering new story here, but he does so with such a sense of humor and sense of time that it is a lot of fun to watch his film. The cast is also excellent, which is particularly evident in the prison scenes. You can still see the Danish Olsen Gang as an example.

The main actors: Filip BERG is known as the young Ove in the successful Swedish film A MAN CALLED OVE / EN MAN SOM HETER OVE. Amy DEASISMONT was also a singer before her acting career. In 2008, she took eighth place at the Swedish MELODIFESTIVALEN, which is the country's preliminary round for participation in the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST. Eva MELANDER is best known for her role in BORDER.

Fast-paced, exciting and very funny! Recommended!

Better than I thought. I felt like the humor fell pretty flat mostly. So in that aspect it was not that funny and not many laughs. But, as an action movie I found it quite entertaining. It kept me on the edge of my seat at some points and was actually very exciting throughout a large part of the movie with a few plot twists and well made action scenes. Some parts did not logically make sense to me but it really doesn't matter and does not effect my overall opinion of the movie.

My rating is honestly 6.5 but since it's not possible I'd rather give the benefit of the doubt - a 7, because of the fact that I was entertained.

Watched this on Netflix. I watch a few movies with subtitles, I use CC most the time anyways. But Netflix (maybe others) offers a lot of foreign movies with dubs, and these dubbing actors, they do a really good job. For instance, the very last line of the movie was uttered perfectly. But here's what I'm trying to say. This movie was fun. Simple as that. At first, you feel lyourself smacking your forehead a couple of times and then you realize ... it's a comedy, duh. The rest is easy peasy
