I watched this with my husband. He laughed more than I.
I am a fan of Danny Glover and Danny Trejo, but this movie did both the actors and the viewers a disservice.
Implausible plot. Poor continuity. If you're enjoying the evening with a few cold ones, it's okay.
Darker and more bloody than I would have thought. I did not enjoy watching Glover trying to engage in a sexual relation shop with younger women.
Some of the fight scenes were entertaining.
I hope they do not make a sequel. If they do and it's good, well... I don;t see that happening.

Great movie. Great mix with Danny Trejo and Danny Glover. Very funny movie. Good to see Danny Trejo in comedy. Danny Glover still has it as a great actor. Both together is an excellent mix. Thought the first movie was good. The second even better. Will be watching the third part soon. So good to see Trejo play a role other that a killer. He is a good comedian along with Glover
I am at a loss to place this film, I'm not even sure if I enjoyed it or not, or if I could recommend it.
This is an action film with a ridiculous plot where some old guys have to go and beat up some other guys; but that really isn't important.
This isn't a 'serious' action movie like Die Hard or Transporter but it isn't a full send up like Black Dynamite or Gravy Train.
The production is strange. Normally when someone throws a grenade you get a slow motion sequence of the grenade in flight, followed by a close up of the villains face, then a few seconds of explosion. Here grenade leaves hand the next frame is bad guy blowing up.
There is lots of action, the fight scenes are fast and furious but aren't particularly well choreographed. Glover and Trejo deliver their cheesy lines and punch people adequately enough.
Don't take this too serious and you may enjoy. I did... I think.

If you enjoyed the first "Bad Ass" movie, then you will definitely like "Bad Asses" as well, because it is just as entertaining and out there as the first movie was.
The storyline is much similar to the first movie, sure. Frank Vega (played by Danny Trejo) is now trying to live a fairly quiet life after his semi-famous attention he got in the first movie. Living in a quiet neighborhood, he frequently visits the nextdoor liquor store run by Bernie Pope (played by Danny Glover). Frank is training local youths in the boxing center, when Manny (played by Jeremy Ray Valdez) gets killed because of drugs. Teaming up with Bernie after he saved Frank's life, the two men set out to find out to clean out the dirty seed in the community.
Actually the storyline was good, despite it being corny and full of clichés. But there was just something fundamentally entertaining about it. And the movie really flourished because of the talents that were in the movie. Both Danny Trejo and Danny Glover were excellent cast for their particular roles. But I will say that Andrew Divoff really was well cast for the role as Leandro Herrera, and he played the character well.
There is a good amount of action in the movie, and despite being up well in their ages, both Danny Trejo and Danny Glover do show that they still got it. And Danny Glover did bring a comedy relief to the movie, that actually worked out quite alright.
So, for those who enjoyed the first "Bad Ass" movie, you don't want to miss out on this one.

Many reviewers explained the plot, so there's no sense in regurgitating it. The film is a by the book action/revenge tome. Many have also watched "Bad Ass". Now Danny Trejo aka "Bad Ass" aka "Frank Vega" finds a sidekick in Danny Glover (Bernie). Many make fun of them because they are seniors. They don't make fun of them for long. It is not nice to show disrespect to your elders, especially these two guys. Trejo and Glover share some funny patter. The film is not believable, but quite entertaining. Next up will be "Bad Asses on the Bayou." The film is most likely "second verse, same as the first." So what? By the way, Trejo could play an old Fidel Castro. There is a resemblance.
