The Boarding School Murders

New York foster girl Francesca 'Frankie' Logan (Hannah Galway) gets a scholarship to attend an elite Swiss boarding school for the rich. She is befriended by bullied roommate Jacqueline Brenet and targeted by the mean girls. Miss Ainsworth (Christina Cox) is the head mistress. When the rich bully gets killed, the other mean girls zero in on Frankie.

This is a Lifetime movie. The location is obviously not Swiss. It's Canada as always. There are noticeable differences. I don't know why it's not just an American school. Maybe they wanted to change the law enforcement a bit. The girls are too old for high school. Their acting is fine although the bullies are very broad. They should try stunt casting for the rich dead bully so they could put her on the front cover. The filmmaking is technically fine for a TV movie. It's never going to look good enough. This suffers from slow pacing. The movie should start with the shoplifting incident. As it's told, it seems like a tense situation and a pretty good scene. As it is, this movie lacks tension. I had an immediate suspect and it becomes a waiting game for the reveal. Maybe it shouldn't do an info dump at the end and space out the reveals.

Lifetime movies be SO extra in uncalled for scenes. First let me say that the casting was perfect. Anyone with even half a brain cell would agree. My rating is low ONLY because I can not stand bullies. But other than that though, I enjoyed the so called mean girls came around. The introduction was unnecessary, however. Just a complete waste of footage, though I recognized that it was foreshadowing but it definitely wasn't needed, only because the film quickly went into action. This film had a lot of intense emotions but that's to be expected with film by Lifetime, lol! It's definitely a certified drama network. I did watch the entire film and ended up with a headache due to the annoyance of many events in this said film.

Are you kidding me? The first 30 seconds I had to exit out to make sure I read the description right. The main actress and the friend behind her both look, sound and act like they're in their 30's...which they nearly are in this movie. I will say the actresses at the boarding school were believable enough as teenage girls...the blonde is on the fence...but I cannot believe they cast the main actress as a teenager. She could have played a teacher or cop or something. This is absurd. I'm only 22 minutes in because I was trying to save my review until I was done with the movie but I couldn't hold it in any longer. The main actress is really making it hard to get through with this ridiculous performance as a teenager. Do better Lifetime, terrible casting on your end. There are plenty of young actresses who would have loved this role and done so much better.

Francesca, 'Frankie' leaves behind her foster home to join a very elite and exclusive Swiss Boarding School, when one of her classmates is murdered, she, as the outsider becomes the prime suspect, she has to prove her innocence.

I foolishly paid to rent this film, because it sounded quite interesting, I should have waited, as it's likely to appear on TV some random afternoon.

Unfortunately it isn't a particularly good movie, it has a fairly cheap and amateur feel to it, which is a shame as the story idea is a pretty good one.

Credibility is the issue here, I didn't believe in the characters, the school setting or the identity of the killer. The pupils had life very easy at this school, apart from the odd murder, school life involved no studying.

The acting, something of a mixed bag I would argue.

A teacher explaining the influence of the french revolution in the transgender community. A girl that terrorized of a new experience in her life just because they have money. Camera constantly pointing at her used, dirty bag, a rich girl suffering because her parents made her travel a lot around the world.

Could communists and progressive focus a bit less on material things and money?

Everyone at that age has gone through some form of bullying, regardless of their social or financial status. Everything at that age, is about experiences and opportunities.

I dont get how could she be so happy about going into a school full of people that possess things she despises. Again, communists being so focused on wanting what they dont have.

French people in the 1700s made their voices heard and had absolutely nothing to do with not knowing which sex they were. They stood for freedom and against unfit rulers.

OMG who financed this cheap propaganda? Let me google that...
