I love how extremely strange the premise of the show is. The story is primarily about animal rights activism (as the whole conflict is about the killing of guinea pigs in Ecuador), but it is also a mystery, drama and sapphic romance at the same time. It parodies and subverts a lot of the tropes you may see in telenovelas. Sadly, a lot of that comedy might be lost on primarily English-speaking viewers who don't understand the cultural references or the messaging.
The stop motion animation is crude and low budget in a charming way. The recurring gag where they switch to close up shots of live action hands is also pretty funny. The pacing is all over the place, but it seemingly works better as a movie rather than a series (as seen in the movie cut on HBO Max). I definitely recommend giving this a shot if you are curious, as it's only an hour and twenty minute watch all the way through.
