Very bad silly attempt to create kanchana , this movie is very poor and boring . Neither horror nor comedy a complete waste of time. Comedy genre is difficult this movie fails miserably all actors are made to over act and given very childish lines. Instead of laughing its irritating . The plot is not important in horror comedy but all depends on how well its executed the director has a major role to play in such genre. I watched it for fifteen minutes and completing by forwarding hoping may be it may get interesting but it didnt. It's just totally waste of time I will just ignore this movie and save your time.

Just now i finished watching this movie... I watched many movies in multi-laung.. In tamil cinema this story line was awesome... And unique story line in tamil movie ( maybe in hollywood we watched many movies great horror thriller even same concept) but in tamil i really enjoyed.... Not about anything (budget,CGI) ... I feel perfect.. Starting to end storyline finished 100%.... NO CRINGE OR ANY OTHER VULGAR COMEDIES.. best family entertainment... Theirs hardwork should get appreciation.. I felt not boring.. (Some logics or magic looking like childish) but overall good one... Simple story concept take in to interesting screenplay... Not too much horror... Just watch once.. You ll like it... 👍🏻

Conjuring Kannappan is yet another movie in the tiresome horror-comedy genre which has exhausted Tamil cinema in the last decade, that fails to create anything worth remembering or discussing. At best, it manages to elicit half a laugh here and there, but its comedic elements remain overwhelmingly dated and repetitive. The CGI employed in the film is notably poor; as is to be expected (I mean, who on Earth really cares about these movies to put it any effort?) and the horror components rely heavily on jump-scares, shoddy makeup and every other low budget cliché one could throw into the mix.

Overall, Conjuring Kannappan is as disposable as it gets, with not a single innovative aspect to it. And while I won't go as far as to call it the worst, I wouldn't argue if one did.

Conjuring Kannappan tells the story of (you guessed it) Kannappan and his family getting haunted by a vodoo device and their struggle to escape a dream realm. The concept had potential but the writer had to spoil it, the musician (Yuvan Shankar Raja) had to spoil it and finally, the director had to spoil it.

Humor is a missing element in this comical film. Screeplay is fickle. Effort is non existent. For beginners, the film opens to Kannappan waking up to find that there is a problem with the water supply in his house. Unfortunately, he has to attend an interview soon.

To take bathe (?!), he opens an ancient well next to his house and draws filthy water from it. He takes bathe in it, changes his clothes, goes back to his room and attends an online interview! I am still trying to understand how this script passed the check.

Yuvan's BGM in theatres will cause hearing impairment - one of his worst. The acting is as plastic as it can be and the dubbing is outright awful. Characterization is mostly absurd. Locations are limited. The camera movements were not note worthy at all.

You can skip watching this movie on theatres and wait for it to be broadcast on TV.

Watched in theatre with frnds ..didn't expected that movie will be good ..but film made me wrong, comedy was well placed and laugh worthy and horror worked out very well , jump scary moment are there .. the idea of dream catcher concept worked very well and neatly executed my debut director selvin ..overall fun match u will enjoy it.

The production house ags as done good job my producing content oriented film ex first love today and now conjuring kannappan.. they believed direction vision and produced the film.

The technical team as done great job music Yuvan rocked , CG was good , editing and makeup and casting was perfect for every role 👍
