Such a visual treat. Loved watching the show with the beautiful characters unfold. The performances felt very authentic and relatable as you reflect on your own experiences as a new immigrant. I loved the simple joys and friendships displayed through the female lead cast.

I love that the show promoted local talent right from the direction and screenplay to the actors who all put their best foot forward. The music score was also great.

I'd love to see more of the show as we unpack the lives of the lead characters and unique perspectives through their stories, especially their triumphs in the face of harships. The strenght of community and friendships is amazingly portrayed in the show.

Potluck Ladies is a heartwarming, feel-good series that offers a perfect blend of friendship, heartfelt moments, and the power of shared meals. The show follows three newly immigrated South Asian women in Toronto as they navigate their new lives and form deep connections. Natasha Krishnan's standout performance brings depth and authenticity to her role, effectively conveying the complexities of Sumaira's experiences and emotions. The strong writing, combined with the essence of community living, focuses on the hardships faced by immigrant women, making it highly relatable. I hope there's a season 2 coming soon, as I'm deeply invested in the lives of Sumaira, Azra, and Ruby.

I was immediately captured by Potluck Ladies from the moment I heard the catchy theme song and watched the cleverly-created opening credits.

Such an important and unique story, from an honest and sincere perspective! Potluck Ladies tells the story of a group of South Asian women and mothers, living together in a condo community in Mississauga Ontario. They all must manage their lives and families, which are all delicately balanced with their personal desires and lifelong ambitions.

Wow! What an assemble cast! The series leads Elisa (Azra), Kavita (Ruby), and Natasha (Sumaira) are all incredible. They really feel like they completely delve into their roles. All of their performances are extremely fleshed out and truthful. The supporting cast and characters truly make the universe of Potluck Ladies feel extremely realistic and authentic.

Most notable is Natasha Krishnan's performance, who plays Sumaira, the narrator and lead of the show. She truly holds the entire series together, with her extremely nuanced and poignant performance. She becomes a conduit and driver for the viewer to experience the world, throughout each subsequent episode. I only wish that in future seasons, the show could delve deeper into this very detailed and profound character study work. Clearly, Natasha and series creator Shazia Javed, have together crafted a very specific and realistic character that never feels exaggerated, or false in any way. Natasha delivers an extremely grounded performance. Bravo!

I must admit I have watched the entire series twice already, and I look forward to another viewing. With the four, 24-minute episodes, watching the series absolutely flies by. It is extremely gratifying.

My only criticism of the show is that it left me wanting to see and know more about all of these rich and diverse group of characters, and the complex world they inhabit. I only wish that this wonderful drama continues with many more seasons to come.

I look forward to Season 2!

Potluck ladies is such a beautiful series, with intricately etched out characters and deeply explored emotions. The show was an emotional roller coaster ride for me. Each character's psychology is delved into. The characters are so human with their flaws and their eccentricities.

Natasha Krishnan truly stands out not only as the heart of the series, but as its mystical center. Her mesmerizing portrayal of Sumaira is its own kind of magic and portrayal of great character study.

Potluck ladies is an important story in the South Asian community and shine lights on the internal issues South Asian women face.
