Ethir Neechal (Translation:- Swimming against the wave) is a mix of emotions, humour, and motivation.

//NO SPOILERS, JUST THE BASIC PLOT//

The story revolves around the boy named 'Kunjidhapadham'; a name given to him by his father on a sentimental situation. We see the hero grow from his childhood to adulthood, and how everything doesn't work out for him due to his name. He tries to change his name, now and then in frustration, but fails to do so. He finally changes his name to 'Harish', and immediately starts to see the change in his life. He has always dreamt about becoming an athelete, and gets a chance to accomplish his dream. He meets a coach, with whom he fails to make a good combination. His coach, being a desparate athelete herself, starts to annoy him at first. When Harish almost starts to regret his decision, he tells gets to know the coach's past , and it was enough to convince him to get back into sports. The climax sequence, and the humour is something to enjoy in the movie (So NO SPOILERS ON THAT)

Overall, a nice Package, a little Cliche and lags here and there!

Ethir Neechal is a comedy drama film directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar, a former assistant to Vetrimaran and produced by Dhanush. Sivakarthikeyan, Priya Anand and Nandita play the lead roles. Siva Karthikeyan,Priya Anand.

From Superhit turning to be boring, always the villain Gunashekaran wins, he is an illiterate but smart and clever than literates and even police are shown as nothing in front of him. Nowadays turning to be boring to keep seeing the same things. Nothing different. Gunasekaran is shown equal to God and no one can defeat him. Really boring.

Nice to see this movie with a good theme message. It is going to be one of the inspirational movie for athletes in Tamil Nadu.

Siva's acting is getting matured in every movie. Aniruth having a great way to go in Music, good songs and back ground music.

We should appreciate camera man in this movie, he did great job. He did very well in the climax marathon run scene.

Overall it is good movie to see.
