Disappointed

If you seek a well-written review, I recommend Kkaterhyne's. Their critique closely aligns with my personal experience of the movie. I highly recommend reading the book, as it is significantly superior to the film adaptation. Why alter the original story for the movie? The ending failed to evoke the same emotional impact as the book. In the book, Michael served as her therapist, possessing the ability to manipulate her. Where is his brother? The portrayal of Nick's mother felt forced and lacked authenticity. While the passionate scenes were present, they lacked emotional resonance. I cannot pinpoint the exact reason, but it almost felt as though I was watching a different movie, one that lacked the familiarity and charm of the original. The music in this adaptation also deviated from the original, contributing to the sense of disconnection. The first movie was a resounding success and garnered immense popularity, while this one feels like a low-budget production.

Such a let down

In comparison to the first movie Culpa Mia, this movie was such a let down. Although it didn't feel rushed, they tried to add as many scenes as possible within the second movie which led to them having absolutely no significance and added nothing to the plot.

Their relationship felt childish (Nick and Noah's) and although they have that kind of relationship from the previous movie, it felt a bit much in this film. Second, this film was more comedic than the first one, which I feel was a bit unnecessary.

I don't know if I'm the only one who thought this but Gabriel's acting wasn't that great in this movie. Was excellent as usual, but nothing much from Nick.

I was genuinely so excited for this movie because I absolutely loved the first one but I'm so disappointed, especially considering it is one of my favourite romance movies.

If you ask me, it's not worth watching.

Two hours of nothing

What could've been a tight and engaging story is painfully stretched into a trilogy for no real reason. This movie drags its plot out with unnecessary filler and subplots that add nothing to the overall narrative. Instead of building real tension or developing characters, it feels like the movie is just wasting time, leaving you more annoyed than entertained. The visuals are decent, and the cast tries their best, but the pacing is all over the place, and the story lacks any real depth.

It's like getting a fancy dish with no substance, all style, no substance. By the time it finally ends, you're just relieved it's over.

Not as good as the first

Unfortunately, this second part was not as good as the first movie. The storyline, while still interesting, was not as compelling as the first. There were a lot of holes that still needed to be filled in at the end.

The script seemed to be poorly written at times, especially the dialogue. But more importantly, the writing seemed to rush the story a lot.

While the acting was on par as the first movie, the chemistry between the two main leads seemed to be lacking something. I did like the story focusing on the other characters more than in the first movie, as that showed more individual character arcs.

Disappointed

I waited desperately for this movie but when I see , that was a total disappointment for me. Many important scenes from book were missing. The movie was rushed and didn't let the audience to soak in , the character development was zero. There was no chemistry between Nick and Noah that drove into the lack of emotions and feelings. Character of Nick was supposed to be obsessed rather cold. I appreciate Noahs character. The last scene in the book was so intense and dramatic but in the movie it was not up to the mark. Everything was superficial not deep that led the movie down.

Expecting something Good from "our fault " now.

What the heck was this?!

What did I just watch? It was worse than a B movie. It looked like something a school class would throw together. How this is possible when Culpa Mia was so good is beyond me. It almost seems like a purposeful destruction of a story. Culpa Mia was young adult, a bit tacky and fast paced but the soundtrack, the acting and the way it was cut was incredible. What in the world happened here? Same actors and director. Looks like they had a week to shoot it and a couple of amateurs just threw it together. And why would you score it with a weird mix of classic music all the way through. Unfortunately I could go on and on... I hope the creators will explain what happened. Did the funding get pulled? Or was there just no more story to tell?

The books are really bad so I'm actually impressed the first movie in the trilogy was so good. But boy oh boy they should have stopped after the first movie. This movie was almost impossible to get through. Now I understand the painful expressions on the two main characters in the few promo interviews they've given prior to the release. This is the type of movie that can ruin your career. Jesus, the story was so bad. They should have rewritten the manuscript and moved away from the books if they wanted to do a sequel.

Nothing good to say. Not one good scene in all the movie.

Not like culpa mia

This could never beat the first movie, culpa mia. I don't know why most sequels suck these days... The storyline felt rushed or lacked sense, i could see the vision but not understand the way they played it out to be... sometimes during the movie, i felt like things that were happening, and how they escalated, were a big question mark and a complete nonsense. Also, i felt like they wanted this movie to end in a specific way and they were just throwing stuff in the plot to make it happen. But i still liked it, the acting was good and it clicked well with the first movie, it's not that it was boring, just that i had way higher expectations for it. Don't know if i would watch it again though, probably only when the 3rd movie comes out...

Disappointed

Unfortunately, I only have bad things to say about culpa tuya.

I was bored from the first 30 minutes. I was waiting for this second movie for sooo long. I Wasted my time.

Nothing to watch, only few things are new. No plot at all. Very boring and disappointing movie. I was a big fun for culpa mia..personally, culpa tuya (personally) is a disaster. I put 2 stars only for the actors/actresses.

If there is any chance to watch the 3rd movie (but I m not as excited as I was for this one -not excited at all in the end-), I hope it will be better, at least.

The "disappointment" can describe all of my feelings.

It's a soap opera and not a good one.

"My Fault" (Culpa Mia) was a different film. It was the story of Noah becoming part of a rich family when her mother married William Leister. Her mother was finally happy after years of abuse from Jonas. It was a funny movie with romantic moments and of course the teen parties and the car racing. Guess it was a one hit wonder for the writer.

"Your Fault" (Culpa Tuya) is a poor sequel. It's not funny, the romance is up and down and it's too talky with a lot of drama. "My Fault" moved quickly, "Your Fault" drags. It's at least 30 minutes too long, edit out the boring parts and at 90 minutes it would be better. I'm dreading what the third part of the trilogy will look like.

Weakest sequence

Culpa Tuya tries to bring more originality compared to the first movie, but in the end, it turns out to be a weaker sequel. While Culpa Mía was predictable, at least it had consistency in its tone and character development. Here, the story introduces some more interesting conflicts, but the characters have lost all coherence, making their interactions feel forced and preventing any real immersion or empathy.

The biggest issue with this movie is how bipolar everyone seems to be. Characters who previously had a more fluid development now explode for no reason, change moods from one scene to the next, and make completely irrational choices. The romance, which was already a bit problematic in the first film, now feels even more unstable, with arguments appearing out of nowhere and exaggerated drama. And this isn't just typical over-the-top romance drama-these characters' reactions genuinely don't make sense. A clear example is Nick, who in this film seems to have more of an irrational grudge than a real internal conflict about his mother. This weakens any attempt to add depth to his character because instead of looking like someone dealing with trauma or complex emotions, he just comes off as insufferable and illogical.

Another thing that bothered me was Noah. I really liked her in the first movie, but here, her personality is much harder to tolerate. She's way more impulsive, has sudden bursts of anger that don't align with what was established before, and loses some of the charm that made her dynamic with Nick interesting. Their relationship was already messy, but now the good moments between them are so scarce that it's hard to root for them as a couple.

A possible reason for this lack of coherence in the characters might be the fact that many key scenes and important moments from the book were cut. I read that a lot of content was left out, and that could explain why the characters feel incomplete or inconsistent. Without these scenes, their development probably lost the necessary transitions to make their actions and emotions feel natural.

Despite all of this, the movie still has some good elements. The production remains solid, the steamy scenes deliver what fans expect, and a few secondary characters bring some much-needed realism. One example is Eva Ruiz, who, despite not having much screen time, manages to bring a natural presence that many of the main characters lack. At least she reacts and thinks in a more believable way.

In the end, Culpa Tuya may have tried to introduce a slightly more complex story, but it sacrificed much of the emotional connection that made the first movie work. The exaggerated personality shifts and lack of coherence in the characters make it hard to stay invested. If a third movie happens, I really hope they find a better balance between drama and character development.

Watched for the sake of the upcoming part "Our fault"

**Infidelity**

Make sure to rewatch "My Fault" before diving into "Your Fault," or else you might find the entire experience frustrating. I started watching the sequel immediately after finishing the first part, "My Fault." The story picks up right where the first installment left off, with Will and his wife determined to prevent their stepchildren from dating each other. However, their attempts end up significantly damaging family dynamics.

The level of distrust and miscommunication between the leads was honestly disappointing, and Nick's infidelity was the icing on the cake. I totally understand that Sofia is a great character-she has beautiful curls, is kind, and has the perfect image. But come on, Nick! You gave Noah a stunning necklace and asked her not to break your heart, even though you were the one who broke it first.

Nick constantly claimed to be "MADLY" in love with Noah, but it all seems to reduce to men desiring forbidden things. His reaction to her spending time with another guy-despite her not being interested in him-was a huge red flag. Yet, he went ahead and broke their trust first. It seems to be all about "projecting."

His reasoning for breaking up with Noah and hooking up with another woman right in front of her was heartbreaking. It was a foolish decision. I'm really curious to see how everything will conclude in the last sequel, "Our Fault." Grrrrrrrr!

Such a let down

I was waiting for this movie after watching the 1st, it wasn't the greatest movie ever made but I love cheesy, cliché movies and it was one of them, but this one....

It felt rushed, but also full of nothing, and I was looking up people opinions and apparently so many things are missing from the books or were completely different, honestly it's not worth the watch if you ask me, don't know why the friends are now getting screen time when in the first one they only showed them when noah or nick was on screen and it was better that way because as movie you have to come every second counts but they didn't get the memo with one.

[5.6] Ultra violet and polar white

Lost the magic of 'Culpa Mia'. It has become very unrealistically soap-opraish, yet it's still entertaining, though needs next level of mature entertainment, cause when you have 20+ y.o. Folks playing 18 ones with lots of teenish drama in-between then it's a bit odd and too much, though the chemistry that Gabriel Guevara and Nicole Wallace have is undeniable (more from Gabrie's part though) and the best part of the franchise. Also, they need to show more of relationships and skins cause I promise you the 2025 Nuestra would be the same lavish yet lame-ish thing, unless..

The Sequel to 'Culpa Mia' is a Dead-Weight Romantic Lustful Drama !!!

Scripted by Domingo González & Sofía Cuenca 'Your Fault' is a Spanish romantic-drama about a forbidden love story and is based on a Wattpad story. The film is based on the second novel in the Culpables trilogy, Culpa Tuya, by Mercedes Ron, and is a sequel to My Fault (Culpa Mía). You can also expect a prospective finale in Our Fault (Culpa Nuestra) since this is intended as a trilogy.

Step-siblings Noah (Nicole Wallace) and Nick (Gabriel Guevara) struggle to maintain their forbidden romance despite their parents' attempts to separate them. As Noah begins university and Nick focuses on his professional career, their lives get entangled in new challenges. The reappearance of Nick's vindictive ex-girlfriend and the ambiguous intentions of his mother further strain their relationship, threaten to unravel their bond, and disrupt the dynamics of the Leister family.

This sequel to the popular Amazon Prime hit finds the same parents continue aggressively in their efforts to stop the young lovers romancing in glamorous locations.

Sultry intern Sofia (Gabriela Andrada) is one of the lures that is being dangled below Nick's nose while Noah's interest in illegal drag-racing could also become a deal breaker.

This is basically a stereotypical romantic drama with no humor or nuance. The performances are wooden and the treatment doesn't allow for any great affection. But since 'My Fault' was well received, this one is also likely to see the same fate. Moreover, Prime Video appears to have latched on to this without much thought mainly because the viewers were already in the bag!
