Movie name - Do Patti
Star cast - Kajol, Kriti Sanon, Shaheer Sheikh
According to Wikipedia, it's a romantic thriller movie. But let me tell you, you will neither find romance nor thrill in this movie. It's garbage, you can say.
Kriti Sanon's debut as a producer, it is a cinematic catastrophe that defies its "romantic thriller" label. Prepare for a rollercoaster of disappointment, where romance is as scarce as a unicorn and thrill is as elusive as a ghost at a séance.
Kriti herself is the lone beacon of hope in this cinematic wasteland. Her dual roles as the feisty Soumya and the vulnerable Shailee are a masterclass in acting. It's almost as if she's channeling Meryl Streep and Jodie Foster simultaneously. Unfortunately, her stellar performance is overshadowed by the film's numerous shortcomings.
Shaheer Sheikh, a talented actor, seems to have been lured into a trap. His character is as flat as a pancake, leaving him with little to work with. The blame for this cinematic atrocity squarely lies with director Shashank Chaturvedi, who clearly doesn't know the difference between a good movie and a bad one.
And then there's Kajol. Her character is as confusing as a Rubik's Cube. One moment she's a fearless police officer, the next she's a meek lawyer. And in some scenes, she's just plain useless, getting bullied by Dhruv without so much as a whimper. It's like watching a superhero movie where the hero spends most of their time sitting on the sidelines.
In conclusion, "Do Patti" is a cinematic disaster that should be avoided at all costs. Unless, of course, you're a masochist who enjoys watching bad movies. Or, if you're a die-hard fan of Kriti Sanon or Kajol, you might find some solace in their performances. But for the rest of us, it's best to steer clear of this cinematic shipwreck.

Oftentimes, you come along a papdi chaat where the papdi has less curd, papdi is stale, chatni put is more, the sev that goes on top is simply yellow looking. But irrespective, you still have it because you want papdi chaat.
This movie is like this. It keeps hopping from one scene to another to another with little clarity on connections other than your own imagination. There's little drama, songs, of course, has to be songs in Bollywood movie, storytelling is sidelined.
I would say that the story was good but could've been explained better, I mean shot and laid out better, making this a gripping one.
You would keep expecting it to be better.
Oh well, I sometimes expect to much from Bollywood.

In a summary, this story misses on the very science of story telling.
It starts off with a twin show, making you believe there's something more to them, one is lying one isn't, keeps you guessing and keeps you intrigued. Gives you a very thriller/suspense vibe by focusing on the polar opposites sister and the "ma ji" character- who appears to be mysterious and suggesting there's more to the story she's trying to sell (all that flashback)
Then SUDDENLY, out of no where this movie becomes all about a social issue. Hands down, it's a very important social issue and needs addressing but the way this movie randomly jumps on it was VERY random, sudden, abrupt and not coherent at all.
It's like you watch a movie about race car driving and then it suddenly becomes about prostitution that happens on red light signals and goes all in on it. You're left confused.
Kriti acted really good and you'd buy her as two opposite characters- however, how this movie ended, we absolutely did not need two characters. One was enough!
Kajol is a natural at this point, acting is like sipping water for her so all the praises to her craft!
The guy in the movie is really good too!
Writing seems like they stitched two VERY different movies together. From a character piece to a social issue narrative.
Good scenic shots here and there.
Over all a very confused movie with good performances.

Please don't watch it with a lot of expectation, It is the same movie with about the story story line but acting was up to the par. Shaheer Sheikh was good but kriti just killed with her expressions , Kajol ma'am with her instincts leading the role. I must appreciate the set, if you will closely notice in this movie , you will find many things in the binary with some and bad ( mostly materialistic things ) I don't want to give spoilers but you can watch and observe it. That was beautifully carved in this movie.
So overall we can say its good movie on the scale of 10, we can put it on 6. Happy watching.

The movie should please masses for whom it is meant. Stories of identical twin sisters one simple, timid, introverted and the other clever, daring, bad were seen in quite a few movies. The contrast between both characters makes a nice basis for plot twists and surprises and it also allows the actor to showcase her talent in two contrasting roles.
This movie sticks to this popular narrative and keeps the audience glued to the screen even though a few sequences lack credibility. It's all about the good girl bad girl syndrome seen many times on the screen. At places the scenes are trite and formulaic.
Kriti Sanon makes the best of the two characterisations and does impress in the diverse characters. She has done well in both avatars, the neurotic and the one with swagger. Shaheer Sheikh plays the young and dashing businessman who marries the timid Kriti but he has a horrible temper leading to domestic violence. The movie depicts him as a wife beating monster and clearly misogynistic. Karol plays a police Inspector cum lawyer with sincerity who not only investigates the case but also argues in court. Is this credible? The court scenes also lack conviction.
