You know the story, you know the outcome, but this is is still essential watching. I lived through it as a United fan, going to most of the games during the season (now 58 years old, been going since 1972). The director has done a superb job, and it's wonderful to hear fresh insights from the players themselves who were responsible for the greatest season in United's history. Obviously essential viewing for any United fan, but most unbiased football fans will enjoy this. So many incredible moments, but obviously the F. A. Cup matches against Liverpool and Arsenal stand out, and of course 26-5-99 in Camp Nou. A testament to hard work, determination, and what a never-say-die attitude can do. Just fabulous.
I was just 16 years old when United did the impossible working as a kitchen porter and training as a chef I was working during the champions league final thinking the game was dead I remember hearing everyone going crazy in the bar so ran out to see that we had scored an equaliser then running back to the kitchen to do my Job thinking yes extra time before hearing everyone going crazy again so run back out to see that we had gone 2 one up then running back to the kitchen with the biggest smile on my face ever not only was this my first time seeing United win the champions league it was the first time seeing a team go on to win a treble a history winning season and thinking the one player who deserved it the most was Beckham because if anyone was around during time and seen the amount of abuse that lad got for getting sent off for England against Argentina was insane that would never be aloud now shows how mentally strong players we're back then and how tuff captains like Roy kean was to install his leadership mentally in the squad. Fast-forward to today and it's very hard to watch a team that is on far more money now all complaining don't. Even look bothered when we are losing saying the manger works them to hard unbelievably Roy kean in 99 or 2000 became the highest paid player in the league on 50 thousand pound a week rashford is on 3 hundred and 65 thousand a week that's crazy ten hag needs to show them player's this documentary and show some of this new crop of player's this is how men play insane work ethic and drive they could learn a thing or too from 99 treble winning team.....
Watching this reminds me why I support Manchester United. It was the belief, the never give up mentality instilled in the players by the greatest of all time manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
If only the current player had half of that mentality, they might win trophies. It's not about money, greatness but the fans. The director has done an amazing job putting this documentary together.
I wish we find a manager like Sir Alex who can take the club back to where it belongs. I really hope the club is taken over by someone who knows football instead of the money sucking American owners who have taken the life out of this great club.
Man United till I die!!!

There's just something about these United documentaries that is so engaging, yes there's footage from the season reliving the goals scored; but what makes this so engaging are the insightful additions from the players, what they were thinking, what they were feeling, what was going on in their lives at the time, how they fought their own inner daemons and overcame their fears on the way to football immortality.
The one on one interviews really made this documentary, they give such an insight to what these lads had to go through (on and off the pitch).
This is one of those things you can watch again and again - tre-men-dous!

Keeping team loyalties aside, if you're a fan of the sport, you've heard of the '99 Treble several times over the past several years, watched various doc, heard the players talk about it.
Manchester United dropping a doc on them making history 25 years ago, when Man. City is busy doing it (good/bad) in the present.... I found the timing of this release interesting. As much as I was excited to watch this doc, a part of me was 'Bruh, what's new? This is United holding on to something that happened ages go. Tell me there's gonna be something new.'
And there was. A lot of stuff you've heard but also a lot of people /stuff you've not from/of. If you asked a United fan, they'd point this doc to you and say here's the context behind the '99 Treble, and that's why it is > the City Tremble. Makes you appreciate the times when the sport was simple, 12M was a MASSIVE fee that came with the pressures that even a 80M price tag doesn't seem to have on players these days.
Technically, I loved the color correction and the sound design in the doc, really well done. I'd love to film interviews in manner, stitch them together and make a doc like this.
Must watch if you appreciate football, and a must watch if you're United fan.
