Saba Nayagan

Seems like this movie should have been released 20 years back. Story is not great! Don't know how it got this huge score in IMDB. Too boring 😔.jokes and scenes were very predictable and highly used in tamil cinemas for long years. Casting seems flashy . But they didn't meet the expectations.

Saw it after few sneak peek and IMDB(7.6). It was a huge disappointment to all. I know , I am not a director and if you ask me to make a movie I can't make one. But as a viewer , I don't want other movie viewers to be disappointed with more expectations with the misleading IMDB score. Kindly keep your expectations low with the the movie.

It is evident that the protagonist is an underrated actor. Thegidi movie put him with greatest expectation and more than the multiversatile actor his catch towards romance and comedy would be a wild card weapon.

I remember one of his full time comedy movie savalae samali during early days of his career, which did not make an impact but after all these years with few ups and downs he is courage enough to do one more of kind of the same genre BUT to my suprise the theme is fully engaging and refreshing .

I didn't have much hope when I start this movie but other than screenplay his matured mannerism tooks me into it. One can say loops and logics within the flim but at current era when all genre and trend are explored in Tamil cinema, the director and entire team put their efforts to take this movie on a good enjoyable full time one story with adaptable screenplay movie...

For each ocassion the protagonist played a adaptable role and it looked like another chartecter played the role. The involvement of multiple female artists and mix of role and flexible screenplay along with the continued monologues and dialogues paved way for much entertaining session

Ps Ashok Selvan - hats off!

You did showed courage to pick an expired and predictable theme and Excel it to be a perfect entertainer

Watched a romance comedy full time movie after a long time - will watch again someday :)

1. No need to FF any song sequence, they are all decent enough to watch with family 2. No super hero type hero character, but just normal average like many of us 3. No overload of alcohol or tobacco scenes 4. No item song sequences 5. Decent BGM, Screen play, dialogues 6. Most importantly No overload of punches, social messages 7. No super hero stunts, except one, bearable 8. Ashok Selvan's performance is very good 9. No flaws in story telling, direction 10. Actors that performed friends have done well 11. Katthika's performance decent

A good decent romcom that will make you feel being part of a normal decent world.

The director of this movie cs kartikeyan cleverly uses several callbacks from classic films and manages to perfectly hit the nostalgia felling which all men would be able to feel. This movie is a perfect blend of romance, comedy and emotions. The crew does an Expectional job, especially the lead, Ashok Selvan as saba he is nearly in every other frame of the film but never makes you fell saturated and he is great in romantic portions. The female leads also do their job exceptionally well but kartika muralidaranhan is a standout among all the girls viviya(not sure about the spelling) as saba s sister is perfect,and the girl who played riya is has done the job but doesn't match the charm of ashok selvan she clearly is a mismatch in the song where the dance together. Megha akash also doesnt fail to impress us with her brief presence on screen. Jaiselan and arun fill the void for comic and are natural on the screen. This is films is so underrated. This film is for all men, clearly and cleverly depicts the struggles of a boy in getting his girl. This movie surely deserves tour time and attention.

Saba nayagan is a very nice feel good movie that you can enjoy with your family and friends. Crisp screenplay, lively characters, excellent organic comedy and a very interesting twist in the end for a love story. Excellent production value, nice music and uniformly well acted. Ashok Selvan is moving from strength to strength with his choice of movies. All 3 female leads have registered strong performances. The comedy works big time. First time director C. S. Karthikeyan has done a neat job and looks like one director we can watch for in the future. Must watch if you love Rom com. Definitely one of the top 10 movies of 2023.
