The beginning of Sasaki to Pii-chan was rather intriguing: The first half of the episode seemed like standard isekai slop, but in the second half, it entirely changes into an urban fantasy with espers. At the time, I thought, Count me sold. Unfortunately, though, it's just another instance of "interesting premise, poor execution."
No, it's not like that at all. This is just too boring, but occasionally poorly executed things may make for hilarious train wrecks. It's just been a few hours since I finished watching the final episode, and now I'm losing plot points.
This lacks any kind of focus, which is one of its biggest problems. Even in the Isekai material, which occupies roughly half of the season, there are conflicts interspersed with descriptions of a leisurely life, business management, and (boring) political intrigue. Much of these, I could not give a worth for, and Marc-san's Mild Ride taking up much of the Isekai segments made me wonder why Sasaki is even engaged in this.
To put it briefly, if this was your first program after only watching Netflix, then sure, you might love how different it is, but otherwise, don't bother with the show.

This show is entertaining but I wish the characters were fleshed out more. Unfortunately so many animes only receive 12 episodes instead of 24 so some of the plot points and side characters went unused.
However this show is still fun and entertaining to watch. A fun fantasy and isekai that will fly by in a binge. To be honest this show has flown under the radar and I would almost call it a hidden gem. The show has a decent resolution for the first season so it won't leave you with a crazy cliff hanger of an ending.
If you enjoy fantasy or isekai, give the show a chance. It won't be the best, I would say it's above average in the genre.
