This movie would only be a 20-minute short if not for the multiple establishing shots and repeated scenes of Jules grooming and riding the horse. And it'd still be too long. Yes, it's a kids' movie but kids deserve better than this drivel.

1) Way too many scenes show nothing but landscape.
2) A talking pony which does nothing for the plot (aside from its superfluous, terrible jokes).
3) The bad guy is so stupid that it hurts and so are the brothers of the heroine.

In a cinematic universe where titles should be a compass to the plot, this movie gallops off in the wrong direction. The title teases a pony, yet all we get is a horse - and not even the same horse that graces the poster. This horse's acting is as consistent as its hairstyles, braided one moment, plain the next, as if it can't decide on its look (beautiful horse tho, i hope they paid it well). The horse footage is as awkwardly shot as a foal's first steps, leaving me wondering whether the horse is even part of the same story. And let's talk horse etiquette - or the lack thereof (already covered in another user's review) and the lack of affection towards the main actress. The actors? Bless them, they're giving it their all, but they're saddled with a script that's better suited for a short animation.
In short, 'A Talking Pony?!?' is a cinematic trot that should've been a gallop - or better yet, not left the stable.

This movie is the worst I've seen since Puppy Star Christmas!!! What is the point to have a so called "magic horse show bend" hit human characters on the head to get them to understand the horse talking to them? Not only this, but the main antagonists of this film are portrayed as null and totally unintelligent enough to have a point of evil plans in mind for this talking horse (pony as they would call this film's title). And to think that on Amazon Prime Video , this movie would cost only $1.00 total to buy either SD or HD. These producers have no one but themselves to blame for the cheap cost of this piece of junk! Good luck being any successful in the film industry as Walt Disney and George Lucas!!

David DeCoteau's film contains an imaginative, humorous premise that does not quite live up to expectations. Horatio, the talking horse, is funny, but has little impact on the story. As are Juliet's brothers, but they have the same issue. The forty-second establishing shots between each scene are a bit indulgent, though they are quite pretty. Much of the story is taken up by Kim, Juliet's mother-in-law, having business discussions with Mr. Beetle, which are likely to bore children and adults. No spoilers, but the resolution comes out of nowhere and is pretty anticlimactic. Overall, it's alright entertainment for kids, but is certainly a meager offering.

Ooga Booga. Bootful Moovee. Brilliant acting. Better than the entire MCU. If all ponies could talk, I'm sure they would all be asking to watch this movie. I also love the casting. It's so good that they got a horse to play a pony, instead of an actual pony. I also thought it was so cool to see all of my favorite actors from, "A Talking Cat!?!" In another film. I also enjoyed seeing all of the same random nature shots from that movie. This is a really great movie to watch with the whole family. I mean all of the aunts and uncles, grandpas and grandmas, mom's and dads, and all of the siblings. Just such a beautiful movie.

This movie was a great family film with a lot of hilarious parts. I highly recommend it. The acting was not the greatest, and the plot was somewhat predictable, but it was generally good overall. It was also comforting to know that there remain some movies with a wholesome message that are safe to be viewed by the entire family. I was a bit frightened at first that the concept of a talking horse might be blasphemous and frighten my children, but in the end that fear was unfounded, and like me, they found it quite hilarious. I would recommend this movie to anyone - not only animal lovers. I mean who wouldn't want to see a Talking Horse, there is a reason Mr. Ed has remained relevant all these years. Frankie
