Major Grom: The Game is a Russian action flick directed by Oleg Trofim. It's another full-length movie inspired by BUBBLE Comics' Major Grom series and serves as a direct sequel to 2021's Major Grom: Plague Doctor.

A year has gone by since Major Grom took down the Plague Doctor. St. Petersburg is back on its feet, Sergey Razumovsky is in a psychiatric hospital, and Igor Grom has become the city's hero. Life is pretty sweet for Grom: he's a local celebrity, teaming up with his buddy Dima Dubin to catch bad guys during the day, and enjoying nights out at the bar with friends-or cozying up with his gorgeous girlfriend, journalist Yulia Pchelkina.

But this peaceful vibe doesn't last. Lieutenant General Maria Arkhipova (Olga Sutulova) comes in from Moscow with plans to shake up the Saint Petersburg police, aiming to swap out the staff for high-tech security drones, thanks to international arms dealer August van der Holt (Matvey Lykov). To top it off, a mysterious new terrorist known as The Ghost shows up in the city, turning everything upside down!

The cinematography is solid, and the fight scenes are well choreographed, but the film drags on a bit. At times, the pacing falters, making it feel like we're starting over. Honestly, one watch was more than enough!

4 months of waiting and the film was watched.

More characters, more timing, more screenwriters and more...

It's very difficult not to break up and start praising all parts of the film.

To begin with, the presence of people without acting education in the cinema is cool!

Secondly, the film has 6 screenwriters (like TV series for 100+ episodes), only they most likely sat in a room and ****** each other instead of just taking the original and adapting it to the cinema.

Although why is this necessary if you can add memes (literally, the characters in the film talk with memes that are from 4 to 10 if not more years old)

Well, it was and it was. What's to mumble?

So if a plot or revealed characters were attached to these jokes. At least one? Please?!

No. Go eat *****, dear viewer.

Almost 3 hours are not enough for the film to give at least something interesting.

It is clear that the film is trying to squeeze something out of itself, but this one looks like a set of blanks molded into one big pile at the end.

And in general, somewhere in the middle of the film, I caught myself thinking that the film looks torn. It's rare for me and it's not good.

You can also praise it. There are few graphics in the film and it is good. The budget just went for it. And in general, the film looks fast and not too boring.

But, *****, 2.5 hours. I will name at least 30 films that run longer and are more interesting to watch.

In short, incompetent people tried not to ****themselves 2 times. ****** up the first time in covid, ****** up now. It's amazing that even without competition, no one needs this *****. Secondary garbage. Secondary from secondary. Garbage.

A review of a true story: straight to the board and his own from the neighborhood, with clenched fist syndrome and the credo "first I drink then I think" I sat in the cinema for 2 hours, left, couldn't stand this plagiarism. Soviet fairy tales are more fascinating to review than this senseless alternation of well-shot scenes of the "kinokomix", all the elements of which are borrowings and templates, without meaning. There is no point in the film, neither in what is happening, nor in the characters, nor even a moral parable - there is no, only dumb action and pressure, and annoying editing, which, like a programmed algorithm, alternates between large and general camera plans. There are absolutely no original ideas in the film, everything that happens has already happened many times in many films. The main character does not know how to do anything, he can only wave his fists, but he is a detective, but he does not investigate, but simply passively performs a function, floats through the plot. All characters are primitive function templates, they are not interesting and flat. The film is a dummy, there is no life in it, no emotions, no meaning - only incompetent plagiarism and references.

Bubble comics are really cool comics. The film adapted from them under the name of the game. What I want to notice, unlike the mediya corporations of the United States Russian cinematography does not give up in this regard. If the first film is a failure, they will shoot until there is no success, failure will not stop them. Major Game *Deserving superheroic film, it harmoniously combines everything, where you need a little action and where you need not much God (that is, Love), it is not that film with the cutting of living flesh where running solid butchers Rambo and Die Hard, here the plot, a real ENT ...

Since we don't have the film. But I am familiar with comic books and I became interested in this film. I found it on the Internet in poor quality and subtitles, but even in this quality I liked it. Judge for yourself and this is just my opinion.

The movie is great. I've watched it three times and will go a fourth time. I am glad that Russian cinema is only gaining momentum and delights us with such good films as "Major Thunder. The Game." I don't understand people who give bad ratings to such a film masterpiece. The cast, acting, plot, special effects are all top notch. Bubble produces the best comics and movies. Such a wonderful film should be seen by more people around the world. Progress compared to "Plague Doctor" is felt immediately. The cinematic universe has truly reached a new level. I look forward to the continuation of films and comics. Love Bubble and you will be happy!

I am a devout admirer of the Grom universe, and hearing that the third film was finally coming out was such a pleasant surprise. Tikhon's portrayal of Grom is very dear to me; it is always wonderful.

In this film, the original story continues, becoming darker and more somber while also providing long-awaited answers.

At nearly three hours long, I'm glad I had the chance to watch it in the cinema for the first time. It made for a great cinematic experience. Since then, I've watched it twice more via streaming services.

Call me biased, but there's something truly special about this franchise-it has a soul, at least to me. The depth and authenticity it carries make it stand out in a way that resonates deeply.

The sequel, like the first part, is imbued with an atmosphere of Action and drive. A perfectly matched cast, soundtracks, everything is at the level that could still be expected from director Oleg Trofim. The actors coped with their task at a high level, which is only worth playing Tikhon Zhiznevsky, in the role of Igor Grom, who wants to empathize and support him. Also, the film features one of the greatest Russian actors of our time - Konstantin Khabensky, in the role of Benjamin Rubinstein, who brilliantly coped with his acting task. Overall, Major Grom: The game is an excellent continuation of the first part.

I liked the movie. Interesting plot with lots of action and an ambiguous villain. Visual effects are on the same level, and in some moments even better. This movie made me cry somewhere, and somewhere laugh. The acting is also great, and you can believe all the emotions of the characters. Because of what sometimes you don't understand at all who you sympathize with more. But the beginning of the movie is not for everyone, because there are too many scenes with drunks, which made me feel awkward.

Overall, this is a worthy continuation of the Igor Grom arc. It has its pros and cons. The first is much more in my opinion, so I recommend watching it.

Nice film! Good characters, plot twists are great. The amount of jokes is huge, but you will not forget that it is an action movie because of the structure of storyline. My eyes were so chilled about the performance, scenery, the color correction. It is not a comic book plot, it is better actually. Dima Dubin has got such an uplifting development in this part, I was very excited about every minute of seeing him on the screen.

You sometimes can miss the point about the Holt (especially if not being a fan), but I really can forgive such cons because the pursuit for the screen time can be very intensive when we are talking about Grom universe, no excuses. I am very glad to know about this sequel and looking forward to see the new ones.

(OPINION WITHOUT SPOILERS):

I'll start with the fact that I learned about "Major Grom" either in 2018 or 2019 after a short film with airplanes and a video from the filming of "Plague Doctor" by Kisimyaki, I liked both the short film and the video from the filming and I began to expect the film, but in 2020 I became doubly interested in it, because I really liked the trailer and Oleg Trofim was in the director's chair (he shot the first "Ice", I really liked it, so I was waiting for "MGChD"), in the same year I watched a short film from 2017 (it is not canonical, but I want to mention it), and I also really liked it, after it I began to expect a full-length film even more and in 2021 I finally went to the cinema to see the first "Major Grom". After watching it, I was surprised that Russia can make a great comic book movie that I'm not ashamed of! It's not like "Defenders"!

I'm a fan of this movie and the franchise, I even remember wanting to read the comic, but I still haven't gotten around to it, I hope I'll read it in the summer! This year, I started waiting for the announcement of the second part, because I really wanted to know the continuation of the story about Igor Grom and his friends!

Last year, the special "Difficult Childhood" was released on Kinopoisk, I still haven't watched it, but when I have time, I'll definitely check it out, and this year, finally, the sequel to "Major Grom" was released, and about the movie itself...

"Major Grom: The Game" is a great sequel to the first movie! The sequel was cooler, more dynamic, and more dramatic.

The plot was exciting and interesting! Personally, for me, 2.5 hours flew by in one breath. The whole movie felt like I was sitting on an emotional swing, I laughed at the jokes and worried about the characters, but for most of the movie I just cried stupidly! I cried both from the cuteness, because I was shipping Yulia Pchelkina and Igor Grom the whole movie, and from some sad-glass scenes! I was also shocked by some plot twists, although I understand that more experienced people can easily predict them.

The graphics and visual effects were good! The action in this part was staged briskly and it was interesting for me to watch it! Also, I would like to note the beautiful picture and views of St. Petersburg!

The cast is wonderful! Of the actors, I want to note Tikhon Zhiznevsky, Lyuba Aksenova, Alexander Seteykin, they played their characters brilliantly! Also, I would like to note Sergei Goroshko and Konstantin Khabensky, they also played great! The rest of the actors were also good!

Although my opinion is spoiler-free, I will say one thing! Popular YouTube bloggers (maybe not only YouTubers) starred in the film, I will not say who, but I will hint that one popular movie blogger starred in the film together with his wife! (now think about who I mean!) Finally, I will say about the soundtrack! The soundtrack, as in the previous part, was good, I liked it!

In the end, "Major Grom: The Game" is an excellent, exciting, and interesting Russian-made comic book movie!

Now, I really want to go to "MGI" again, I think I will do so at the beginning of June, and I am also really looking forward to the thirdquel of "Major Grom" and I hope that it will be!

I wish the whole film crew and studio BUBBLE good luck, and may future projects be as cool and worthwhile as the "Major Grom" dilogy!

Overall, I give "Grom" 10 out of 10 and recommend watching it! Run to the cinema, this film is worth it! You can go either alone or with a group of friends!

It's a very good movie, but I think it could have been better. The director did a great job, he put in a lot of everything, and drama, and comedy, and the raft twist of spider-Man, and it looks cool. Unfortunately, if you want to understand this movie, you'd better watch the first part of Major Thunder, otherwise there will be a lot of holes. The cast is great, fan-friendly and good at movies, there are no questions for them. There are still some questions about the plot, because after all, this is a comic book movie, and here they are very different, which is for me, as a comic book fan, upsets me very much. At least, we get hidden gays (Razumovsky and Volkov)
