Emma (Jenna Michno) is driving through southern Texas as a tornadic storm bears down on her. She is running from her abusive boyfriend. Her tire goes flat. She is stranded as the storm approaches. With no other choice, she drives to the nearby farmhouse. She is rescued by Jack (Gabriel Pranter), but he has a screw loose.
This is a Lifetime thriller. I'm buying the first fifteen minutes. It helps that he's pretty cute and girls go for the farmer type. As soon as he stops her from leaving the house, that is the first big red flag. To be fair, she is looking around like she knows that it's a red flag. I am surprised that he would let her go. Sometimes, the movie likes to let go of the tension in order to build it back up. She's better off going into the storm for her sakes and for the sake of the story. She could crash her car and Jack could bring her back to the farm. That's probably a better move. We're just trapped in the farmhouse for too long with nothing to do. The writing is not good enough to withstand that. I also have an issue with the deputy. She would never turn her back on him and would definitely radio in her position. There is a great reveal which should be pushed up. That would give more time with Kylie. This is a rather marginal standard woman-in-trouble Lifetime movie.
