This movie is a FEAST for his fans and normal audience also gonna like it for sure. The plot is good and actors lived in their characters.

Darshan as an actor WON. His screen presence has lit the whole movie and has minimal buildup unlike few of his previous movies. Coming to story it has good content and direction wise tharun did his best. Dialogues are top notch🔥. Music director harikrishna had done great job and bgm is crazy in most of the scenes. This is not just a routine commercial drama. It has great story and great execution. Overall it's a good cinema and gives great theatrical experience.

This movie got a lot of hype for no reason.

I started watching it on the hype and stopped it in between.

The story is really boring and the caste discrimination and derogatory dialogues are apparent.

The lead actor does not have any acting skills just exaggerated fighting scenes.

Most scenes are very obvious and one can anticipate what is coming in the story.

The music and cinematography are average.

Overall, I do not suggest to watch this movie because I stopped watching halfway through it.

The movie actors and producers should spend some more money on better music, cinematography and acting skills.

Skeletal remains of 107 unknown victims are found and the forensic team is on with their investigation to find out the truth behind that many deaths. Meantime, people of Bheemanahalli are donating their hard earned money to get their saviour Kaatera, released on parole to attend the village festival. There are forces that are against his release and with his parole granted, he is accompanied by a constable to be his escort. As they start their journey back to the village, Kaatera opens up about his past. Who is Kaatera? What crime did he commit to serve prison sentence and how did he became the saviour of an entire village, is revealed in the rest of the story along with those 107 skeletons.

It's been quite some time since Darshan gave a good film that not only was aimed at the fans but also entertain the neutral audience as well. The only director to pull that off currently is Tharun Sudhir. Their last offering Roberrt pleased the fans and this time Tharun has picked up a subject that makes Darshan the actor surrender to the script than have it entirely woven around his star image. It's a welcome to see him play a character and there are those well timed hero elevation scenes and fights, but this one is more story driven. The non-linear narrative is old school which again is Tharun Sudhir's forte and he delivers.

With an ensemble cast, it is also rare to see a top superstar sign such films dealing with the prevalant caste issues and merge it with the land reforms act to tackle the farmer's issue. Evil zamindars oppressing a village is a done to death story but when well told, it simply turns into an entertaining affair. While the love story drags with barely any chemistry and the glaring age gap, Tharun packs a punch whenever he shifts the focus to the main issues. There were 3 main action scenes and a short one, which more or less served their purpose to present Darshan the way his audience want to see him. Aradhana Ram tries and as it is her debut film, have to cut some slack for her earned attempt. The battalion of villains are pretty generic and it was good to see Vinod Alva. It take enough cinematic liberties, borrows ideas too but Tharun Sudhir with each film is just growing as a director, building his credibility and yes, Darshan - Tharun Sudhir has turned into this promising combo to look out for.

It's a come back film for darshan with his mind blowing screen presence. It narrates the 90s real incidents. Great acting by all the cast.its purely a kannada content and fresh content. Everybody should watch it to experience reality of life of farmers in 90s.

After a long time darshan worked with a good director and selected good script.

You can experience the mass elevation with extra added flavour like music by V. Harikishna. Mind-blowing bgm given by Hari Krishna.

You will never get bored until the end of the movie because of its well written script and well driven screenplay by Tharun Sudhir.

Dont go by the 10 star ratings here, those are given by DBoos fans.........this movie could be one of the worst movies known to mankind, its like same old wine in a new bottle.

DBoos should stop acting in junk movies like these.

Nothing new in Tharun Sudhir script and same applies for music as well. V. Harikrishna has lost his prime time I guess so its the same old music nothing new.

All in all this movie could only appease to hardcore DBoos fans who love everything he does, even though the movie is a junk.

The acting by all the cast of the movie is awesome n the look of darshan sir is at next level . The modern trend is showing the innocent people got dominated by the upper caste. Another how many years this stupid things is going to happen?? Films are coming about only lower caste people fought against upper caste.

So they don't have any other history like freedom fighting, innovation, education or what???

Showing the majority caste as villain is making the society more distance full from one another.

After watching Roberrt, i became a fan of Tharun Sudhir. Before that, i thought Tharun was yet run of the mill mass director of sandalwood, but Roberrt changed my perspective of him.

Coming to Kaatera, from the beginning till the end, it was just non-stop entertainment for me. Personally i watch too many English films, so have set a high standard for myself, to not tolerate cliche crap we see in indian films. I was waiting to get bored somewhere in the middle or get angry with something or other, but surprisingly, the whole movie went smoothly for me.

Darshan has done an amazing job. The director has extracted excellent acting from all the actors. Production values by Rockline are great. The graphics are commendable. Fights have come out very well. I recommend this film to anyone who wants great entertainment.

Kaatera being a Non PAN Indian Movie could prove everything. Simple content of a former but beautifully portrayed by Tharun Sudhir. Of course without farmers we are nothing. Formers grow God(Rice, Wheat, Ragi etc) and the only power to grow God is with Farmers is a concept which went through the hearts of Kannadigas. Perfection I would say!

Coming to each department, Everyone have done their acting as per the requirement and content. The movie is clearly made for the audience who search for content. These kind of movies which uplift the formers strength should be made these ways. As they call out in Karnataka "Jai D Boss".

The language used seem very hateful for castes in South India.

Country is already so divided and they talk about all these things in the movies.

They should have focused more on the story and acting than on caste and other religious aspects.

As per the content the movie shows the sheer struggles of the farmers which is native to our land.

As per the performance every actors has done the justice to their roles. D boss is extraordinary in his acting🔥🔥 Even the technical aspects are top notch and you won't feel bored throughout the movie. Emotions scenes makes you teary eyed. Dialogues are very well placed that you won't feel like they have forced. Overall a good content based and family entertainer. It's a worth watch with your family. When you come out of the theater you feel it was a good watch. A good movie to the kannada industry. We need this kind of content oriented movie to our industry.

Finally D boss Darshan he is god gift for sandalwood.after rajkumar sir he is only deserve for this type of story and acting...climax was awesome movie will be in mind after theatre also....dear bollywood learn from sandalwood what is acting....my review 10/10....please release in all language world should now about sandalwood.... Hero in performance was gud ...no vulgarity all family members can watch....

Thought this movie had a great script. But stopped watching after first love song. The director has chosen the story line which has already been overused The story is depicted as of 1930s but is restricted to showing caste system of that time. No girl would roam around during 1930s or 40s as carefree as been shown in the movie...total misrepresentation. The kannada movie blockbusters these days are totally revolving in buildups and romance. Y would you want to rely on the caste system which everyone has forgotten? Looks like the creative team has not moved on from that age. The brutality by the upper caste in the movie looks blown out of proportion Disappointed 😞

Movies need not be political. There is definitely a space for social upliftment but this plot combines worst violence with an oooollldd plot. It was a total waste of time for the hype it created. I'm surprised that Shruti and Avinash-sir even signed up to be part of this nonsense - all virtues surrender to money, I guess.

For matinee Kannada movie watchers, the concept of 'caste' hasn't changed from 1970s Hemavathi to 2024 Kaatera. Only thing is the he inclusion of macho men these days who add no value to the plot. The protagonist of a story should be the story itself. It should not matter who the actors are. The issue is these type of plots are stitched around the characters. Unreasonable action sequences just bores you to yawn. Add to that, the opening plot of 107 skeletons has no relevance even it was just 10 (10 would have made it a bit more real).

Celebration for 50 days? Come on, Bangaarada Manusha ran in theatres for two years! Compare it with Kaantaara, this is no where close.

The story screenplay and the direction is top notch and Darshan DBoss acting level is next level in the movie and the music and Bgm is lit really loved this movie and in the first half of the movie it completely pulls the audience towards gripping the story The interval is the best which holds the grip to the second half to complete the story line although the fight sequences are well graphed and the two important real incidents takes the movie with anger emotions and etc and to the audience it will be really worth to watch the movie in recent times indecent scenes will be there in movie that is normal in every movies.
