Even though the movie is riddled with flaws, when you get a hero with such a macho on-screen persona, a manly base voice, and real fighting abilities, along with a decent plot-line, all is forgiven. Intense, fluid, and more importantly believable fight scenes, daring, edge-of- the-seat stunts, hard-hitting and memorable one-liners, Pooja Chopra's refreshing effervescence, Jaideep Ahlawat's convincing malice laced with mean humor (unlike Prakash Raj's umpteen failed endeavors to successfully portray these two traits in cringe-worthy villainous avatars), a convincing narrative arc, and above all, Vidyut Jamwal's awe-inspiring rendition of a tough-as-nails action hero make this movie a complete blast.
Most non-action movie fans might not be able to overlook some gaping loopholes. But for us action junkies, this is one awesome testosterone driven, adrenaline pumping ride from start to finish. If only this film had done away with some of its narrative blunders, it could have been an instant action classic. Nevertheless, its still a thrilling ride that no action fan should miss.
Indian Cinema has finally got its next big action hero after Dharmendra, Amitabh Bacchhan, and Akshay Kumar.

Commando is a full fledged action movie. This is total Pisa wasool film for action lovers. Viduit has done some of very dangerous stunt scenes.Film start with an Indian commando's escaping. Indian commando escaped when a helicopter crashed during routine practice. Indian commando cached by Chinese army. After some time Indian commando run away from Chinese army.At the India border he helped a girl from some bad guys.Till last there is chasing between commando and bad guys. This movie is pure action movie.Viduit jamwal is rocking. He has done good acting and action.Story is simple and dos not bore.Music is OK. Direction is good. Heroin Simron is good.Locations in the film is fabulous.
Vidyut Zamwal makes a good action hero. He is comfortable and convincing in action scenes but he can't deliver his one liners with expressions however that does not matter much in an action flick but it could have definitely taken the intensity a notch higher. The plot here is an excuse to deliver the action scenes. Pooja Chopra looks good until she speaks. Her light moments with Vidyut fall flat. Jaideep Ahlawat makes a menacing villain but he does not stand a chance against our action hero. All man on man fights are worth clapping, beautifully choreographed and effectively edited. Climax does not disappoint. Music and back-ground score is good enough. At the end, it makes a descent watch for a lazy holiday.
Dilip Ghosh's 'Commando' is Kick-Ass! Lead Star Vidyut Jamwal is one hell of an action-hero & he executes each & every stunt effortlessly. He single handedly makes this film work!
'Commando' Synopsis: A condemned Commando protects an innocent girl from a feared politician.
'Commando' is the same old story of the Good versus the Bad. Its been witnessed on the screen umpteen times, but what makes 'Commando' worth watching, is the Raw & Brutal Action it offers. The Action is amongst the best I've seen in a long, long time. The Screenplay clearly highlights Action. Dilip Ghosh's Direction is atmospheric, while the Cinematography captures the wildness accurately.
Performance-Wise: Jamwal steals 'Commando'. He's highly efficient in the Action-Scenes! Pooja Chopra looks sweet & delivers a very confident performance. Jaideep Ahlawat plays the twisted antagonist, most convincingly. Darshan Jariwala is adequate.
On the whole, 'Commando' shouldn't be missed by the Fanboys of Action-Orinted Cinema.

This is for the first time I am writing a review on IMDb though I have been following IMDb for the last 5 years, but this movie " Commando " has made me write it, First of all, I always love Hollywood films, I hardly like Indian Films, but When i first saw a promo of Commando I thought this is the Indian movie I should be watching, Offcourse I missed it in the theatre, but got a DVD copy of it.. What Do i say of this movie, VIDYUT JAMWAL is my next ACTION HERO, It was action packed movie, although there were some scenes where things have gone astray with the item number, nevertheless I really really loves it. Now i will highlights the points in terms of various aspects of it,.
1. Direction 7/10 : Direction was good enough, although I believe, the director could have added more to the end sequence, where the Army , and Police arrives.
2. Editing 5/10 : Although the direction was good, but i believe the director should have called some more skillful. There were points when they continuity went Haywire, it just didn't click to me..
3. Cinematogrpahy 9/10 : I am happy the Cinematographer had decided to stick to Hollywood standards, the camera movements captured the whole ambiance of the surround, felt like watching Hollywood movie.
4. Acting 8/10 : Although i liked Vidyuts acting , but pooja chopra's Acting was really not up to the mark, she struggled with Dialouges at time,
5: Dialouges : 8/10 : I am glad they broad sarcasm and intelligence in the dialouges,
6: Music 4/10 : Almost every aspect of this movie was good but the poor music kind of lost the touch with the story..
Overall the movie is a must watch, and I am glad the movie has been widely appreciated, I am going to watch it again ...

- CuriosidadesAt the start, a disclaimer reads that Vidyut Jammwal performed all his stunts without cables or body doubles.
- Erros de gravaçãoWhen Vidhyut & Pooja jump off the bridge, the villain group are seen shooting directly where they fell. But in the next scene from top, they seem to be shooting in the air directly in front of them.
- Versões alternativasGerman version was heavily cut (ca. 23 minutes) to remove all dance sequences. Additionally some violence was trimmed.
