So just switch from to ... to. No pun intended - the movie is a low budget drama, with a bit of nudity (and even male nudity, if that matters to you, just putting it out there ... like the male character ... another pun for you).

The actors have their issues, the script is not the best to say the least. You have to cut it quite some slack. Of course if the humor in this does float your boat ... well I am happy for you. There is "fantasy play" quite early on, which indicates where this is heading. Quite predictable and due to the acting (or lack thereof) you can guess what is happening and is about to occur.

Make up your mind - something you could say to the main characters here ... or to yourself while watching ... not as deep as it may like or think it goes (you know I like my innuendo ... it always comes first)

Not a great film, but there are some nice touches of humour (particularly in the fantasy scenes with Eugene) and - ultimately - poignancy, which lend it interest beyond the norm.

IMHO the real weak spot is the character of Dee. Not just underwritten but *very* blankly played (such that you wonder why she bothered) and this unbalances the film - ALL the scenes between Elenore and Dee are thus incredibly dull. Fortunately, this is a fairly small percentage of the running time.

Fortunately, Audrey makes Elenore charming enough to spend time with regardless, even if one wonders where it's all going...

Not bad.
