Masooda is the most refreshing horror movie I've seen in a while.

Not only is Masooda absolutely terrifying, it sneaks in a few hilarious scenes, without disturbing the horror atmosphere.

Prashant Vihari's music was incredible - spot on.

Beautiful & Atmospheric cinematography - very scary.

Performances of all were insane - special shoutout to the girl who played 'Nazia'. Hero too, was entertaining.

It is creepy, riveting & hilarious - all at the same time.

This is going to be an underrated horror film of Telugu industry, i am a Kollywood guy, the screenplay was way much enough to make me understand the complete story

If you are a horror guy, then this is a right film for you, this movie is suitable for commercial lovers too from beginning to end you will love the way the movie is shot, even the songs are good.

1 is there a good story - yes 2 is the movie scary enough - yes 3 is the sound mixing good - yes 4 is the movie shot good - yes 5 is the story fantasy logical - yes 6 is there humour - yes 7 is there love and song - yes 8 is there unwanted characters - no 9 is the movie childish - no 10 should you watch it in theatre - yes, if not you can enjoy in OTT it will be good in home with decent acoustic setup or with better headphones

Ofcourse there are plot hole, but when it comes to horror fantasy you must accept the flaws

But First of all hats of the director and team, I am so glad how they built such a good horror story / film with so little budget.

Sadly the theater's are empty, people are going to praise the movie when it reaches OTT and going to miss the experience in theatre.

Note - this is not a movie to be watched with people around, better to watch alone to experience to the fullest potential of it.

This is the best horror movie watched in recent times. Even though Director Sai Kiran's first movie he has done a excellent and terrific Job in designing the script and presented on the screen. Gripping screen play made the audience to sit for 2:40 min. The cinematography is top notch and BGM is excellent which elevated movie to the next leve. All the actors were performed and justified to their role special applaud to Thiruveer and Sangeetha Bandhavi for fantastic performance. Subhalakha sudhakar and satyam Rajesh play's key role. The movie start with low phase but from intervel the movie is next level. It should only watch in theatres. Don't wait for OTT release. Rahul has good taste in selecting scripts and he is on hatrick with this films. Once again congratulations for entire team who worked for this film..

What a kick-ass movie. The writing is beautiful. The setup of the story felt very orginal, rooted and the vibe of it (old buildings, asylums, and especially the back story of the Masooda be) is a fresh dimension unexplored in Telugu. The tinge of horror is carried throughout like a heart beat. And it gets intense as time passes. There is always some new element in every small scene, which is very captivating and contributing to the story. And the choices of locations, production elements, characters offered a fresh breath of air. There is foreshadowing, setup &payoffs, parallel plots, backstory built, red herring. And for the amount of characters created and designed beautifully, giving each one a distinctive personality is not a easy task and this world building is truly a massive effort.

Throughout there are beautiful framings and compositions and it amazed the viewing experience. Whether it is horror or slice of life, it is lighted and captured extraordinarily and in complete awe of them. There are some extraordinary montages. What a tremendous amount of effort you have kept, hats off to the team for that.

Sound of the cinema is a big strength. It is not the jump scares, but the objects in the scenes that created horror throughout (balloon bursting, cat outside the window,.....) Music is like a big elephant in the room, which sets the tone and tension perfectly and it scared the hell out of me.

Only let down for me is the dialogues, they sound very bookish. Especially during the conversations, it sounded very bookish. Rest they gave very good performances and they are apt choice to make them feel vulnerable.

Overall a banger horror movie in Telugu after a long time. Intha bayapetti em saadisthaaru bro 😂

"Masooda'' movie title itself rises a dim question to one whoever encounters it as movie title, but it's perfectly justified for its horror theme and spirit. Real horror, by its very nature is serious, haunting and when a genre movie is made on that approach, Masooda kind of experience happens. It's a complete experience movie and the experience is powerful.

Sangeetha is a physics teacher and husband burdened single mother, when her teenage daughter is effected by some mysterious behaviors, and when it's slowly turning into symptom of unknown illness, Gopi, an upright man, neighbor is the only help she is left with. When they attends a doctor, mother felt that's not going to be the right help, she left with only option to go for super natural cure. Whether we believe in super natural things or not is not the question here, it's not the knowledge, intelligence, questions that matter in the movie, it's the experience of a supernatural element in an ordinary life, movie gives the experience of fear, shock, terror, surprise with in the frame of a realistic and effective human drama. Supernatural events in in the story and its world and its effects are dramatically realistic is one of the best achievements of the movie.

This movie is seriously not for its story, it's for its pure and powerful horror genre experience and technical brilliance.

Thiruveer is surprising and brilliant, we can find his acting potential. Sangeetha as mother and Bandhavi Sridhar as daughter justified their roles to the fullest. Kavya Kalyan Ram is promising.

Writing at its best form, fine craft in direction and well executed movie. Special effects, make up are special mention, they are very lively.

Cinematography by Nagesh Bannell is excellent, it's perfectly terrifying marriage of story and visual, he is the talent to lookout for. Prasanth R Vihari Back ground music is horrifyingly effective, the two songs are very good and worked well in taking the story forward. Art work by Kranthi Priyam is impressive.

Masooda is a perfect blend of pure horror and drama with humanistic philosophy. Mise- en -scene aspect of the movie is very effective, production values of the movie that reflected in bringing out this horror drama is a special mention.

Beyond a well-crafted horror drama achievement, debut director Sai Kiran's attention to detail, ideas, and images made it remarkable horror drama. After Malliraava and Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, Masooda is one more remarkable and promising work from Swadharm film house. Producer Rahul Yadav Nakka again succeeded in his painstaking path of cinema and exploring a completely different genre from his previous works.

You can totally miss watching this Film.

The first half made me sleep. The romantic scenes are horrible.

The flashback seems incomplete as if the writer forgot to write the details. Scare scenes felt old and dated, did the director forget we are not in 1999 anymore?

The acting is just passable by the lead pair. The sound design seemed too loud at places but that could be the theatre.

I met many disappointed people post the screening. The film is not worth the hoopla created around it.

I wonder what will the director do post this film, this one got the limited audience due to the marketing like a horror film. His direction of normal scenes is worthless.

The director starts with a bang in beggining for 10 minutes with horror scene, then goes to normal middle class people lives and establishes the chatacters. He purposefully takes to lengthy to establish characters strengths and weakness. Then drives into the story. This was needed. A lot of people felt average/ boring here, but I strongly feel it was needed, otherwise people could not have imagined Gopi and Neelam working together.

Then second half director takes deep into story and continues to engage till the end of the movie. Thats where most thrilling/scary scenes are there.

The director does not look like debutant, and handles the script like professional director.

Apart from direction, the cinematography and sound effects are the ones add strenghts to story.

All of the new actors performed very well. Its truly brilliance of their hard work for the first movie. Every one did their best.

Sangeetha and Subha Lekah Sudharkar bring their acting experience to newbies.

Thanks to Rahul Yadav Nakka for bringing in such an amazing talent of filemaker and actors.

I wish there could have been more promotions and pre release event planned. I got to know this from word of mouth and saw the movie.

I wish this movie is released to a wider audience across the country and let people decide the verdict. I tell my friends outside, they say movie is not available in their zone.

This is not an OTT movie, please watch it in theaters for better experience.

I LIKED THIS MOVIE SO MUCH AND WANT MORE HORROR MOVIES IN TELUGU FILM INDUSTRY , cast and crew hardwork seems on the screen . I loved the cast Gopi character is so good and this character is the soul of the movie . Sangeetha gaaru character is descent , nazriya character looks so good on the screen on horror scenes , for mini character if there is part 2 I like to see her on horror scenes . Sudhakar gaaru , sathyam rajesh , and flashback cast are amazing , specially meerthaz character person done a great job , akhila is super , I liked the idea of storytelling from the view of gopi , cinematography is amazing asset to the movie. LAST BUT NOT LEAST DIRECTOR KIRAN DONE FABULOUS JOB , THE WAY HE SHOWED THIS STORY IS AMAZING.

Masooda is a horror story that resembles the likes of Hollywood's Conjuring. It's story has depth, and runs in flashes across the main plot of the movie.

While the unveiling of the horror's past happens in the latter half, the story holds a tight grip on the audience from the very beginning.

Some characters appears superfluous and could be safely removed without impacting the story too much. A few loose ends appear in the movie without much explanation - may be these are intended to pique the imagination or may be left to be clarified in an upcoming sequel.

This movie ends in a way that is not too atypical for this genre. However, the movie does justice to the genre it picked.

First of all i am big fan of horror films and without any expectations, i watched this in AHA, with good sounds and of course watched alone. WELL WRITTEN HORROR DRAMA WITH GREAT VISUALS AND DIRECTION

Acting --- Though most of them are new actors, they did their best Direction --- 10/10 Cinematography --- 10/10 which is very well set for all the scary scenes.

Screenplay --- Very good Background sound --- 10/10, undoubtedly very good background score.

Must watch film if you are a horror films fan.

Film script is good. And also camera angles, effects and other things at proper level. Unfortunately main actor and his friend doing very cheap acting in this movie. Main actor hasn't good personality to handle this kind of movie. What a shame acting. Honestly don't use this guy for future movies. He just looks like a childish kid (idiot). I just wondered how the director of this film was founded / selected that kind of upset guy for his movie. Anyway my wish is this is the last movie of his acting career. But I think this guy is suitable for sell Ice creams. Honestly movie script is 8/10. But this actor's role is 1/10. My based score is 5/10.

Purest Horror film Storyline is perfect.

Actors did their best on every scene and hero's comedy scenes are too good, This film not only stands on horror but also on the kindness which is shown mainly on most of the scenes, that's what the main event type shown in this film Director just nailed the film to next level with awesome scenes and bgms.

Everything in this film is just like a fabulous art of horror Just showed how a horror film is... Must watch film if you are a horror films fan.

I usually don't write reviews but this Masooda is making me do it,I don't have exact words to describe this because I am just numb the ending part is still terrifying me what make the horror movie perfect is the background music and this movie does not disappoint in all aspects from acting to background score and especially the script, It's just amazing. Kudos to Sai Kiran for bringing such a movie. From starting this movie had full suspense and fear and till the ending it just went on hard to stop but sometimes it terrifies you that you will have to take a short break and then continue. Overall a 10/10 for me, a must watch for horror lovers.

The plot is so good, so well written and executed, the layering used is phenomenal, absolutely loved it..!! The lead actor's performance is very good, the way he carried himself, the underdog who falls empathetic towards the mother and daughter, going out of his way to help me, beautiful..!! I hope they make it as a franchise, and release more parts..!! The thrills and scares are pretty good too..!!! I hope they get a higher budget for next one and they nail it, i believe and hope so..!! A proper horror ride in such a long time, after The house next door, i would recommend everyone to watch this film.

Masooda had good hype , so watched it in theatre .. but first half was really boring and director could have edited the love story of hero and heroine because their love track won't connect to the story , if that hero"s girl friend would have helped to hero in climax , it least there is a sense but no . Also major plot is not clear , and second half is better than first half , but lot of unnecessary screams , purposely created horror scenes , but 40 % movie made well , nice locations, pre climax and climax was reasonable . But climax was really lag .. they could have trimmed it well . But over all one time happily we can watch in tv . Good luck to the team .

MASOODA - a new Telugu horror movie making wave in Telangana and AP regions.

My personal opinion - After watching this movie, I would rank it as as a highly regressive movie and feel pity for the people who made this movie. They should rather go and see doctor and get a proper treatment.

This type of movie only and only supports superstition among common people and nothing more than that.

I am surprise how can a healthy and awakening society even think a story like that, forget about make movie and showing it among the masses. This movie will send a very very wrong and suppressive message among the people.

Typical stereotype story. Stretched so loong for baseless reasons. Only a waste of time. Don't know how it got such high rating. A big Nooo to watch this movie. The movie could have ended in about 1 and a half hours but forcefully elongated showing childish reasons of mistakes. Totally boring and unworthy.

Dont know how it got 7.2 rating as of now but it deserves a rating of not more than 01. Please upload "Masooda" movie in Hindi. This movie's story is just awesome. I watched the explanation of "Masooda" movie in Youtube. From that time I am eagerly waiting for watching this movie in hindi. Cause I am Bangladeshi. I Don't Understand Telegu language & Tamil Language. I understand Hindi. I Also watched so many tamil & Telegu movies with hindi dubbed. Their story is just out standing. Now I want the hindi dubbed version of the "Masooda" movie. Please do something. I really want to see this movie in hindi dubbed. It will be helpful for me to Understand. We bangladeshi are the big fan of The telegu tamil movie in hindi dubbed. Thank you.
