I remember being so excited for Crysis 2, I had high hopes for it, I was not disappointed. I would go as far to say it is the most visually impressive game I have ever played. The campaign was pretty long, which was appreciated. The multi-player was horrible, I played it for 2 hours, and it had some of the worst hit detection and lag ever, well Black ops 2 takes that place now. The single player was where it was at, it was well worth the price tag. But unfortunately this game didn't have what made Crysis 2 great, lets get into that.
The Game: The previous instalment took at least 10 or so hours to complete, and I enjoyed every moment of it. This game is much shorter and was rather boring. It is great to see New York turned into a jungle,, but other than that the game visuals haven't improved, at least on the PS3. The first mission of this game ran at a outstanding 10 frames per second, it worried me into thinking the whole game was going to be like that, luckily it didn't. The game gives you much more power than before, but it is damper-ed by enemies that can see you in the long grass in a darker area, how on earth could they see you there, that was pretty annoying. The only notable musical score is in the main title screen, but it is a very short song, I had to go on you tube to find a longer edit of the song. The campaign is no-where near as good as it was in Crysis 2.
The multi-player: This shouldn't take long. It sucks, the closet thing I compare it to is Killzone 3, but Killzone 3 is miles better than this. I was looking forward to this, Call of Duty and Battlefield drive me insane, I needed something new. The character movements are flawless, I'll give them that. I am around level ten, so I got crap for perks and weapons, so I just get hammered on. The game is fun when invisibility is not encountered. Invisibility ruins the whole experience, they need to get a new play-list without it, just like Elpresador said. This games multi-player is extremely boring, at least in TDM, you spend more time searching than you do fighting. I would play different games modes, but there only seems to be 700 people on at any given time. It lacks staying power, unlike the other three game series I mentioned.
Don't I feel like an idiot, forget some of the stuff I just said, TDM sucks and I realize that. The Crash site game mode is where it's at, now stealth and armour are pivotal to the game play. I just played four matches of it and got MVP for points all four times, I love it. If you like objective game modes I recommend this. Too bad it is ruined by loser k/d chumps that camp the objective, Aaahhh.... this game sucks, real bad.
I would recommend renting it first, just in case.

For a game that has set a standard in the gaming industry, Crysis 3 doesn't fail to deliver what it is meant to deliver- Mesmerizing visuals, great game play and excellent sound track.
But there is a sting in the tail! If your Graphics card doesn't support DX11 then you'll be disappointed because Crysis 3 only works with DX11 enabled devices.. The developers could have at least provided means for it to work on existing Graphic cards(maybe they are already working on a patch or something).
So, on a positive note, I would like to say that Crysis 3 has been an affair to remember and it just gets better and better..

Crysis 3 (2013) is a direct sequel to the FPS Crysis 1 & 2 science fiction game series. It continues the series with its equally action packed story, picking up where the previous games left off.
Prophet is back, once again, this time trying to save NYC. The game has great, top-notch visuals and graphics, great, music and audio, excellent storytelling. It feels a bit redundant after the second game, taking place in the similar area, yet focusing on the aftermath.
"Prophet is forced to save New York City from CELL after the alien invasion in Crysis 2 (2011)."
Crysis 3 is a great addition to trilogy and well worth playing. The series is vastly underrated and overlooked, but is one the best Sci-Fi, FPS game series out there. The series is a masterpiece.

Crysis had a great 5 years of existing as a franchise. But it seemed to fall down after Crysis 2. Giving us the best graphics. This time CELL and the Ceph where going to get it. Will Cevat Yerli truly prove us he is a great game director?
STORY
Again it takes place in New York and oh by golly out of all the amazing places we had to choose the most overused Hollywood Summer blockbuster setting. So after years even if Alcatraz has defeated the Ceph Army in a grand sacrifice. The Earth has been under siege by CELL and CEPH. They both have been harvesting the Earth for the energy and thus you Lawrence Fishburne must defeat the Alpha Ceph. It's a pretty epic looking story but it's just over the top Michael Bay-ness. You are in for a Universal Studio theme park Ride. Everyone here is back from the Crysis 2 that has not been killed off. And new people that will be killed off and you might feel sad for. Psycho is back to help kick ass the whole way
GAMEPLAY
Crysis 3's gameplay is give or take better than Crysis 2. The choices are more obvious yet the level design still feels simple and linear. You can sneak around and shoot things with a bow that has 3 different powers, regular, explosive, electric, amongst other things. They do a great job of interacting with the environment. The AI somewhat slow but still responsive. It's pretty easy if you ask me. With easy bosses.
The controls of have been even more simplified down to the point where you only have the option of choosing either invisibility and invincibility. The leaning and cover shooter has been stripped. But the RPG elements remain. Everything is streamlined in this game. You can slide however. Which is just wonderful. You can ride automobiles sometimes. But these aren't a choice, they are just highly suggested mini games. Trust me.
You can hack in simple puzzles and other things.
Too bad the game is too short and easy compared to it's Dark Souls Predecessor.
Multiplayer lobbies exist. You can battle in multiplayer and pick a few matches. Casual, and unbalanced. Crysis 3 has has some unbelievably unbalanced fights. Where you can be a rebel or raptor team or CELL. But overall no one is there anymore. I try look for some servers in US and I am yet to see anyone still playing Crysis 3.

Unless you have a potato PC. But still C3 looks great at any resolution do to it's wonderful atmospheric art direction.
Crysis 3 looks wonderful, it's the best looker of the generation 7. Everything is detailed, though the Michael Bay explosions and art Style maybe a bit mmmm degenerate, you cannot deny it still. Everything is in full force, the flowing vegetation is back, somethings are blocky despite tessellation on frogs being promised, but who am I kidding, no one cares about that because the sci-fi style keeps it from being bad. The water shimmers, everything shimmers, everything is lovely. I love it. The special effects are good to. Sparks fly, lighting dazzles. So many crazy unique looking scenes with atmosphere. Crysis goes less for realistic and more artsy like 90% of the time but totally worth it.
SOUND
The production qualities in Crysis 3 are top notch. Everything has crazy sci-fi sounds. The music can be off-putting at times. You can also listen to audio logs. But no one cares about that. Everything sounds explosive I highly suggest you get a Dolby surround system for this.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, Crysis 3 is a great video game. It may not be perfect but it's still worth the romp when you have no attention span and a GTX 1080.

I think that Crysis 3 is more like an Expansion Pack for Crysis 2. Crysis 3 continues the story, the game is not too long, that made me quite sad, because I really enjoyed it. Graphics look quite better, the textures are a lot better and the world/level design is purely amazing. The game-play is good, not too much changed from Crysis 2. The Predator Bow is a really nice weapon to use in game. The multi-player is not too good in my opinion. Most game modes are really boring, I just can't play with these weapons in the beginning too well. The only thing I really enjoy in multi-player is Hunter Mode. Hunter Mode is really nice, even if it's a bit annoying that most survivors camp and don't move for the rest of the round. Now, this is quite bad if you have a DX10 graphics card. The game supports only DX11 graphics card. Most recent graphics cards have DX11 though.. The last thing that isn't too good is the lag... I like the game overall. 9/10.
