Sun Li and Jiang Xin play bitter rivals but had a very good relationship off camera. The Assistant Director would often beg them to stop playing.
There were 67 costumes made for Sun Li and trying everything on literally took the entire day from 10am to midnight.
This series was first aired in China in 2011 on Shaoxing News, a regional channel. As it gained popularity there it was picked up by national TV channels and first aired nationwide in 2012.
It is based on the novel of the same name by Liu Lianzi.
