I don't usually go out to watch movies. This was an exception and it didn't disappoint. Loved the acting by the entire family. It felt like something fresh after a long time. Hats off to the director for engaging me from the get go. There was not a single dull moment. And the production quality was gold standard. Never seen anything like this in Marathi cinema . The visuals were beautiful. The music was so soulful with beautiful lyrics. My personal favourite character from the film is kusum with her witty lines and impeccable dialogue delivery. Will be watching it again tomorrow with my family. It was good time at the movies . Highly recommend.

A wonderful portrayal of how festivals can help heal and unite families. The setting of an old house during Ganesh Chaturthi gave a lot of warmth and nostalgia to the story. Films like these often remind us of the value of tradition and the deeper connections within families, even when there are conflicts..Needless to mention Konkan's beauty! Perfect casting! A must watch!

A movie I found on Amazon Prime that compelled me to write a review... B'coz many a times we save each other by telling what not to watch and discuss idiotic movies wondering why and how did someone make it?!!

Gharat Ganpati is that sweet movie which makes up for all that lost time! It might take time to build up, but it will stay with you even after its over. A slice of life, that certainly serves much more than a slice!

And the female lead (delhi ki chokri) could understand the language of the Gharat family, so will you. Even if you don't understand Marathi, do watch it and thank me later! (A lot of it is in Hindi)

Gharat Ganapati will make you pause in your busy life, introspect, cry, laugh, think some more.... while entertaining all through.

Ganpati Bappa Morya!

Often people say, marathi cinema lacks the grandeur, the quality, but i am so happy that this film proves such people wrong on all the fronts. Its a treat to watch such a powerful cast deliver electric performances on celluloid. One of my friend said, while watching the film, i got a feeling that, Karan Johar alike has officially landed in Marathi - thats Navjyot Bandiwadekar!

You have not seen such a beautifully made sensitive, complex tale of relations in Marathi! The film is superlative in all departments.. The way konkan is captured is breathtaking. Music a++. BGM - you have to hear it carefully to understand the layering. Hats off to the director who has kept the graph of all 14 characters so tightly woven that it is seamless. Do watch!
