Cracking the Code

The episodes are generally okay however there are a few aspects which are frustrating: * the hosts keep repeating the same points over and over again, even after 15 minutes.

* there is not enough detail to get a full understanding of how things were achieved.

* there were opportunities to include more facts and details but these were skipped over.

* I can't help think that they wanted to make a show that wouldn't tax people with an IQ of 70.

For example, they talked about the Rosetta Stone. They mentioned it was composed of three languages including Egyptian Hieroglyphics but did not say what all the other languages on the stone were.

Ultimately, there is not enough detail here to keep viewers interested. They have dumbed down the content significantly so that it is very frustrating to watch.

Is this a B movie? No - it is not. But listen to the musical layer (I guess I have to call it music). Too many good documentaries are destroyed by this phenomenon. I would have loved to follow all the episodes of this interesting story. I did not - because of the stupid music. I do not understand the need to have this layer of intrusive sounds, made for cheep action scenes. They have absolutely no relevance - who decided that it would improve the experience from this documentary? The only thing I remember from the parts I saw is the fealing of how stupid it felt to watch and listen. I could have it with just the speech.
