Compared to the first movie, this movie is a dramatic improvement. The first movie had an identity crisis; it didn't know what it wanted to be. It was split between telling a story recognizable (albeit turned dark) to the source material and being a generic slasher. As a result, we ended up with the first ten minutes of the movie being surprisingly interesting, creepy, and engaging while the rest of the film felt simple, unthoughtful, and frankly not scary at all.
This movie throws all that aside. Instead of trying to tell a clear "Winnie-the-Pooh" story and getting lost when that theme inherently doesn't work for an extended storyline, it takes the characters (and to some extent the settings) of Winnie-the-Pooh and simply tries to make a slasher. You don't need to have any personal connection to Winnie-the-Pooh for this film to be decent. It has about as much plot as a slasher needs (which while minimal is significantly more than the first), the killings are adequately brutal, and you actually care (at least a little) about the characters. While I was still left with some disappointment over how certain plot points were explained, it was altogether not bad.
While I think this was actually a solid slasher film, there is only so high of a score a slasher film will get. It was enjoyable, but certainly not the epitome of horror, but is worth a watch if you are into the genre. Excited for part 3.

First of all, all the 1 out 10 scores and people saying its worse than the 1st are REVIEW BOMBERS!
Right through, im glad movies like this exist. Not cause its a masterpiece (not even close) but its refreshing to see regular peoples ideas with IPs do a 180, this is is a movie that should have never existed, yet it does!
How does this movie feel?
Imagine driving home at 10pm, its rainy and you see a Video Store, you enter and in the back of this dim litted area you see a DVD with no artwork, just a paper with sharpie written "Winne The Pooh: Blood & Honey 2" you rent it cause of curiosity, you watch it in your apartment that night and think "what did I just watch?, is this real?" You talk about it the next day and no one knows what the heck you are talking about. The next day that video store is gone.
Its just...an odd experience that makes you feel you are watching something no one else knows about.
Its watchable for that! Not awful, but maybe if they dedicated at least one more year on the script this could have been really good.
Its more good than it is bad but still not where I know they want to bring thos, I see the vision getting closer, keep going guys. Bring back Eeyore for the 3rd!

This is by no stretch of the imagination the best horror film ever made, but it's also by no stretch of the imagination the worst horror film ever made. If you enjoy slasher horror films, you will definitely get a kick out of this (think Saw, I Spit On Your Grave, Hostel- or anything by Eli Roth really, if you enjoy those, check this out). It includes a couple of twists that keep the story engaging enough for the run time, and it avoids following the same formula as the first film. There are a couple of comedic lines/scenes, as is to be expected. However, it's mostly an on par slasher horror film, that uses its exisiting characters creatively, and the new ones sparingly to keep them interesting. The writing, directing and acting is not Oscar worthy, but it is definitely better than a lot of what is being put out right now. Despite the amusing and silly premise of Winnie the Pooh slaughtering people, this film is surprisingly entertaining. It delivers on what it promises, quality time with your mates without bending the mind! If you grab a couple beers, I'm sure you won't hate this. Just remember to appreciate it for what it is. It's not trying to win awards. It's trying to entertain you.
While I certainly wasn't a fan of the 2023 movie "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey", I still sat down to watch the sequel "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2", simply because I had the opportunity to do so, plus it as a movie that I hadn't already seen.
Needless to say, that given my lack of being impressed with the predecessor, then I wasn't really harboring any grand expectations to writers Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Matt Leslie. But still, I opted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps the sequel would prove better than the 2023 predecessor.
Luckily "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2" did prove better than its predecessor. There was a bit more elaborate and thought through script and storyline to this sequel. And it was a generally more wholesome and enjoyable storyline that they had put together. So I was definitely genuinely surprised with the outcome of this 2024 sequel.
I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble in this movie. But I will say that they acting performances were actually fair. Sure, this wasn't Shakespearian theater, nor were I expecting it to be. But for a movie of this type, it was actually good enough acting performances being put on by the cast ensemble.
How tacky is it when movie makers put footage from their first movie on a TV in the sequel and passing it off as something a character in the movie was watching? Yeah, that happened in this movie, and it was just cringeworthy.
Visually then "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2" definitely was good. There were a good amount of violence, blood, gore and mayhem throughout the course of the 98 minutes that the movie ran for. And that certainly was good for a seasoned gorehound such as myself.
The production level in the movie was really good, and it was showing on the screen.
My rating of "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2" lands on a five out of ten stars.

In Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, there are some things that are better than the original. But despite that, the movie remains below normal rqgarding its level.
In the movie, I praised the story and the more elements and revelations it has than the original, visual and sound effects, which were a lot better than the first installment, screenplay, cinematography, and ending, which paves the way for the next films in the Twisted Childhood Universe.
But the other elements, like the performances of the cast, soundtrack, and direction were very normal, even below than normal. Even the elements that I praised, although they are better in this installment than the first one, they did not reach an excellent level like the movies of these days. That is why when it comes to the score, I give Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 5 out of 10.

- CuriosidadesMarks the first time Tigger appears since being in the public domain on January 1, 2024. He doesn't resemble the Disney version due to copyright.
- Erros de gravaçãoThe film is set in England. When the father and son are bird watching, they see a male Red Cardinal, which is a native species of North America. Northern Cardinals occur in London year-round and do not migrate. They have dense down feathers that provide insulation during the colder months. Males and female birds can be distinguished visually by their plumage: males have bright red feathers while the female is a reddish-olive color.
