Fallen Needs More Marketing . We Need a Season 2

This show deserves so much more attention. Fallen is one of the most captivating supernatural series I've watched in a long time, with a perfect mix of romance, mystery, and fantasy. The story pulls you in immediately, the characters are layered and complex, and the emotional depth makes every scene hit even harder. It is beautifully shot, well-acted, and has such an immersive atmosphere that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The only problem? Barely anyone knows about it. The producers seriously need to market this show way more because right now, it feels like TikTok editors are the only ones doing the work. A show this good should be everywhere, yet so many people still haven't heard of it. With the right promotion, it could be massive. There is no way this can be the end. The story is far from finished, and the way everything builds up makes it clear that a second season is necessary. More people need to watch this, talk about it, and get it the recognition it deserves. Fallen needs a season 2, no question about it.

Fallen Deserves More Hype. A Second Season is a Must!!!

A fresh start

I'm so glad that this story has been given another chance and turned into a TV series with a new twist. I remember reading the Fallen series when I was a child, and even back then, at the age of 9, they seemed pretty boring to me. I stayed for the plot and angels lore, though. I tried giving them one more shot a couple months ago to refresh my memory before the show was released, and they were as excruciating as I remember. The books mainly consist of plotholes, which are never explained, rapidly changing events, and monotonous monologues. Each villain seems unimportant and characterless.

This TV series breathed life into something that was bland from the start and at least tried to explain a major plothole. I hope there will be season 2!

Unexpectedly good!

As a big fan of the books for many years, after the movie I had no hope and I was very sceptical about the show... Even with all of the changes, I'm very happy with the actors. The movie had some potential but the actors from this show had real chemistry, especially Jessica and Gijs... and they kept me want to watch it until the end. Some changes are good and others don't make much sense... But I really hope we get another season so we can finally see Daniel and Lucinda's other lives. I'm not happy that they didn't stay very true to the books but after everything with the movie, I'll take what I can get and enjoy seeing the characters brought to life.

Surprisingly Well-done Dark Fantasy/Mystery

Was able to watch the series early; gotta say I was surprised with how much I liked it in the end. Had to keep an open mind going in with how things are obviously different from the books, and I felt it was the right call with how some of them played out with the vision the show is intending. There's still the core material that is always the underlying plot/theme it is just now shaped (rather well I might add) more as a thrilling, dark mystery. Great performances as well, regardless of how I originally pictured because of the books. Will say, if you've come looking for a word-for-word re-telling of the book, then sorry, as it's more like the story is severely inspired by the books with some source material hinted at every now and again (still prominent overall)! THE CHEMISTRY THOUGH!! I think it's going to be underrated, as it's still a rather hidden gem of a good modern dark fantasy/mystery/romance.

I did not expect much, but it surprised me.

Although the series is very different from the books, I really liked it, but at the same time, for five or six episodes, I didn't understand what was happening. I think the series is made for people who have read the books and yet this is in a way a mistake because at the same time, readers usually want a faithful adaptation but this adaptation borrows very little from the books. However, I recommend reading the first two books if you haven't because the series borrows from Lauren Kate's series only the names of the characters, the location, and a very abstract idea of the book.

What annoys me, however, is that the series does not have a specific ending, everything happens very suddenly and the ending, and although I understood it because I read the second book, it seems to me that it represents a climax rather than a denouement. Although the characters don't look like I imagined them, except for Lucinda, I think the actors played very well, especially Jessica. Initially, I didn't trust the actress who played Penn, but watching over the eight episodes I think she was able to portray her very well. The atmosphere itself is very mysterious and although sometimes it seemed to me that nothing was happening at the same time there was a lot of suspense and I wanted to see what was happening as quickly as possible so I watched eight episodes in a row. All this screenplay feels more like a kind of beginning or like a kind of introduction to what should have followed, that's why I can't give it more than a 7, but if I separated the actual book from the movie, I would probably give it less. However, I understood the series precisely because I read the book, in a way it is a screen adaptation inspired by the book, but at the same time, it is not. I wish there was a new season because the CGI at least was a lot cooler than what we saw in the 2016 movie. I also loved the cinematography.

Suprised How much i liked this

Going in, I had no expectations. I approached it with a fresh perspective, assuming it would only share character names with the source material. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover how closely it adheres to the book.

The first episodes do an excellent job of drawing you in. By the end of the first episode, I was already captivated by the theme.

I do wish there was a bit more explanation for viewers who haven't read the books, as I can see some people might not fully grasp the story.

I absolutely loved the cast; everyone did a fantastic job. Gijs and Jessica were particularly outstanding, delivering powerful performances through their portrayal of the characters' emotions.

As for the final episode, it left me eagerly anticipating season 2. I'm excited about the direction the series is taking and hope that the next season is just as enjoyable.

(Also, a side note: could Daniel please get his blonde hair?)

A promising start

I think we can all agree the movie version from 2016 was laughably bad (I mean I actually laughed when the movie ended), so I was pleasantly surprised by how this TV series turned out. I think the show writers took the concept from the books as an outline and created something better. The show had intrigue and a surprise season finale that I didn't see coming. The scenery and videography of the show was beautiful. There were also new-to-the-scene actors that gave great performances (and a great performance from The Last Kingdom alum Timothy Innes). The characters were dynamic and I was genuinely interested in their back stories. If there's a next season, I'd like to see more origin stories for the supporting characters. I think this freshman season was a good start to a potentially successful run.

Highly Unfortunate

This show is a complete fiasco. Surely it is not in any way meeting the requirements or atmosphere of the books or personality. It is completely insulting to watch or consider the 8 episodes.

The picture for the series is very poorly presented and aside from the ugly presentation the mouth is hagging half open with no guide or direction. With more than 6 books with a clear positive approach, atmosphere and quality this depressive approach is under-whelming and does not seem appropriate by any personality or one of the eight episodes. Nothing gives the support Lauren Kate the author deserves and is insulting.

Bah Humbug.

Don't cancel this show! It's brilliant!

This show is absolutely great in every way.

I was so pleasantly surprised with everything.

Great cast, great acting, intelligent script writing that took entire story few levels up... emotional and very well done.

Score for the series is amazing, cinematography is beautiful, editing is great but above else timing and the way story develops, it's like a breath of the fresh air in the sea of not so "good" attempts to make fantasy series that will actually be so good.

It deserves season 2. Or even more seasons I hope.

So, please don't cancel it. There are people like me who loved it and who will love it in the future.

Rare gem.

All recommendations!

Not perfect, but quite an enjoyable fantasy show.

If you're looking for a fantasy show that still takes place in a somewhat modern world, something similar in ambiance to the Fate: Winx Saga series, this can be an option for you.

It has quite a balance between fantasy, mystery, and horror vibe (with a hint of religious connotation because of the plot). The prompt is really interesting, and I think it goes better in the form of a series like this, rather than a movie, let alone a standalone. They also discussed interesting and (might be) sensitive topics like mental disorders, sexual violence, etc. The acting might not be the best, but I'd say that the casting is great; the actors suit the characters well.

However, what felt unsatisfying to me was the execution of the world-building. It seems that they tried so hard not to spoil the essential plot later on that they ended up not explaining the present well. If you don't Google it for more information from the book, it'd be a little confusing to understand the references or details they dropped without proper explanations in the show. (and spoiler alert, yes, they ended with a cliffhanger)

But, I think the problems would be fixed as soon as we get the second season (please come faster).

Overall, it's a genuinely fun and worth watching show.

Don't watch if you even remotely liked the books

Extremely disappointed. This is so far removed from the book. It's hard to believe they are even associated. This show is slow, not visually appealing, it is a very disturbing feel that makes it hard to watch. The characters under developed. Very poorly written and done. The chaos of the show was heightened by the distracting music. My husband kept asking, was that in the book, was that? No, this was not the same story. The twists were too big and not for the better. Even as a stand alone show I don't have praise for this but might give it a 2 star rating if wasn't tied to the book. Won't be wasting anymore time watching.

getting out

Luce Price (Jessica Alexander) is accused of an unknown crime. With her parents' consent, she is sentenced to two years at a private facility called "Sword and Cross" run by Dr. Howson (Alexander Siddig). It is a Kafkaesque existence.

It is a lot of hot young people locked in a mysterious institution. It's sort of like that X-Men movie that bombed. This is a little bit better than that. With the opening and the title, it is obvious that these are fallen angels, spoiler, without saying it out loud. At some point, I just want the story to find an ending. This is a maze and I want to get out.

Loved!!!!

I absolutely loved this series. It had me hooked from start to end. I haven't read the books so I think it was a lot easier for me to not make the comparisons in the way others have.

The series was slightly difficult to follow the story line over the first few episodes but that's what kept me so intrigued. Once the storyline begins to unfold it's hard not to watch episode after episode.

It's worth the wait and patience waiting for the storyline.

The last episode has left me on the edge of my seat in anticipation for a second season which I am hoping will be released as I have so many questions.

The third attempt also fails

I don't know the books and probably won't read them even after this weak adaptation. I watched the 2016 film and was very disappointed when, after a lot of boring back and forth, it finally ended in a furious climax - and left all questions unanswered. Resolution in a sequel? None.

Now I was hoping for at least a few answers from the series, so I finished the series in three days.

Unfortunately, here too there was a lack of any enjoyment for the audience, because apart from the well-known Alexander Siddig, there are almost only bumbling talking puppets at work. The only one who was able to satisfy me a little with an unpretentious and believable acting was a supporting character who was in one potential second season should no longer be there. The setting? A bit of stuff was shown in the pilot, but you quickly notice that most of it was shot in very cheap rental sets and not only were extreme savings made on the sets, you shouldn't expect anything from the costumes either; these are always the same very cheap clothes. Conclusion for the production design: Disappointing.

Story? Unfortunately it's boring and the dialogues aren't enjoyable either. In the few sequences where things really get down to business, almost nothing explicit is shown. Presumably to save the costs of appropriate special effects/make-ups. The "Outcasts" (monsters) were painted full-body wetsuits, but at least they looked somewhat usable. So here too only a minimal amount of resources was used.

Unfortunately, that's what the series is all about and why it will only have a small chance of further seasons after the really bad film. After the film's flop, they didn't have the courage to invest a little more budget and produce something that someone could actually like. The film at least had a few reasonably pretty faces to offer, unfortunately almost all of the rental faces in the series are from the leftovers, which means there is no eye candy whatsoever.

What is much more serious, however, is the small total number of reviews; currently just over 350 votes cast. From this you can conclude that the series has hardly generated any viewing figures so far and you normally don't make sequels for a tiny audience...

Amazing, full of pathos

Acting is very good, same for plot, original soundtrack and production value. Bought all the book thanks to this serie. I'm surprised not many people are talking about it but in a way I prefer like that, it feels like something special only me discovered. I wish it will be renewed for a second and further seasons, hopefully covering all Lauren Kate books. I watched every single episode 2 or three times, some parts are acually really emotional and I just loved the mystery around it. Filming locations and atmosphere are simply perfect, Twilight fans would love it. I must say Daniel and Luce, and Pen, in particular are just adorable.

NOT MADE FOR THE BOOK READERS

This was subpar at best. The series did not follow along with the books and quite frankly got most things mixed up and wrong.

None of the actors looked like the characters.

Nothing was good about this. If you read the series, don't watch this. They Butchered it. Movie stayed more true to the books and we know how that ended up. Things got confusing. It was just bad.

IF YOU DIDNT READ THE BOOKS It was decent and better than that failure of a movie adaptation a while back. Its different from most fantasy shows being released lately and the characters are very in depth. I think i would have enjoyed it if I wasn't glued to the books when they first came out.

I actually loved it. 💞

I never really read more than the first book, and I remember watching the movie, but it wasn't something that I was obsessed over when I was a teen, so I'm not a "purist" when it comes to the story, I'm more of a superficial fan.

But when the news came out that they where redoing it into a show I was actually really excited, which suprise me a lot and I've been waitinig patiently for quite a while. Totally worth it tho!!

Acting 10/10, the main actors are just fenomenal, their chemestry is just unbelievable, and the overall ensamble just works perfectly. Props to every single actor in the show, 10/10!!

I also loved the changes that they made in comparision to the books, which I didn't thought I was gonna. When shows change things from the original material I never feel like it really works, but not here, here it worked. The mental-like institution/medical religious cult works really well with the story and makes it in a way a little more grown up than the books and I love it!!

If you wanna be like really picky, there are a couple of scenes where the CGI it's like a little wonky, but this is not a macro-production, so we can not hold it to the same standars that we hold a show supported by netflix or prime. It's just not the same. If a show on netflix or prime does have wonky CGI do hold them accountable, they have millions and millions but they decided to be cheap.

Please do renew it for a 2º season!!🙏 I'll be wainting!!! Again. 💞💞

Please do let it be sooner than later tho!!🙏🙏

Fallen is incoherent mess of story with no real direction

Fallen is incoherent mess of story with no real direction and over Fallen story that can't, for some reason or other, be either consistent or true to itself. Fallen is disjointed, confusing, and missing parts that would be critical to understanding it clearly, the narrative worldbuilding-holes, and silly mistakes and Inconsistent Story structure and sequence of events, and the character random elements and ideas and not properly incorporate them into the story.worse still, lacking any sort of background info to help fill in the blanks. Even though it was slightly better than the book in some way,the lack of Paranormal supernatural horror romance in the story that fallen is a part of the young adults Literature of the early 2000s Phenomenon of Harry Potter and twilight saga series fallen through the lack of Paranormal supernatural elements is a lack luster leaving fallen Boring.

Give it a try.

I have a classic saying: Just like every beautiful thing comes to an end, we have come to the end of this beautiful thing. The final episode was exactly as I expected and they connected it to the second season. Luci went to the past and I don't know what will happen. I don't know why the sun-colored thing asking in the last scene asked. I finished the series in 2 days. It really wasn't boring at all. Each episode was great on its own. Only the effects and dubbing that I mentioned in the episode comments are not very good. They ended the final episode early. There are very long stares. Since I have watched many series and movies in this style, I can guess how it will continue in the second season. I love fantasy movies and series. I also liked this series because it was similar to HANNA. In short, I liked it. If you've come this far, I think you liked it too. I was thinking of adding it to my favorites, but I didn't like the effects, dubbing and acting in some scenes. Anyway, we have come to the end of another series. They really did a great job. Even if you don't see these comments, thank you for your efforts. We are excitedly waiting for the second season.

Not enjoyable

I loved the original books. The 2016 movie had a lot of potential. The actors were beautiful as was the background music. The story was a little light but would have been explained in the sequel. It was worth a look as long as you didn't pay for it in the theater.

However, this series is a mess. The characters don't look or act like their book counterparts. Penn is funny and pretty and very likable in the movie. The actress playing this role in the series is probably a very nice person but is goofy in her presentation of this role. The setting is wrong. The overall story of the war in heaven set the theme with one last angel refusing to take a side. Cam is a dark haired bad boy and Daniel Grigori is blonde and stunning.

Fallen may not directly follow the book series, however this entire series devours!! I am so in love and obsessed. I NEED MORE! This series is a creative masterpiece!! I binged watched season 1 in one sitting! I literally can't get enough! I need season 2 ASAP!! This show has a large fan base on tik tok so do us all a favor and renew for season 2!! There's countless amazing edits on tik tok as well that are feeding my obsession as I hope and pray for season 2. I would tell anyone to watch this with an open mindset as I stated it doesn't follow the books directly, but it has an amazing storyline that will keep you wondering what's next. The romance is 10/10 I would definitely like to see more of a love triangle with Cam, Luce and Daniel.
