Aliens O Renascimento

I am just going to add my voice to the chorus of praise for this movie, suely it has some flaws, but all is excusable because it´s a fan film.

The director is well known by making these kind of tributes to old movies, and i always love what he can do on a small budget like this.

From start to finish this is perfectly made entertainment with every frame minutely conceived to be the best. The music is eerily gripping and suspenseful.

The horror and gore quotient hasn't been reduced at all, this is definitely not a film for the kids. But oodles of gripping suspense and guns blazing action violence is the main thing here.

The cast is efficient and all do a good job.

Although it runs for 110m, this is a film that never runs out of steam.

This nail-biting picture contains tension from start to finish , gory scenes aplenty , thrills , some strong scares , slime , emotion , entertainment and good acting.

The atmosphere is pure genius. Gothic, claustrophobic and sometimes baroque. The use of light and dark is beyond description, the use of sound is as creepy as it gets, specially in the scenes inside the spaceship were the alien goes from air duct to air duct killing all the crew, and what´s left of the mercenaries are tracking him, we can see the force and speed of the alien even in animation, with a few shots also in stop motion, this fan film is taken to it´s limits in budget to stay faithful to the franchise, and i was impressed by the amount of information it creates making a bridge on alien and aliens, with the future of Weyland Yutani corporation only caring about the alien itself again, and sending various teams to the planet in order to get one alive for army division.

A very good sign in terms of making a good tribute.

So it´s.

A good story is represented here, to bring back those great moments that made Aliens a crazy glorious movie.

The insides of the spaceships used are all in a fantastic animation, we can see their attention to details.

I feel it's especially hard for them to make a movie like this that´s why i´m giving an 8, beside this one being a good movie, i want to encourage them to make more movies like this one, so that we can have different type of movies in Portugal, because usually this is not the kind we see at cinemas.

It´s time to change and Constantino films have done it.

I only see their movies, they are always different, a mix between fantasy, action, horror, in a very alternative way, if you want something special that you never seen before, support them, because they deserve it.

As for this movie go see it.

The script certainly is the film's strongest asset for me, as it has 2 stories put together in one, and with a special tribute to Alien and Aliens.

Directing and cinematography rank among the highlights, along with the tremendous makeup and good cgi effects for a low budget like this.

The aesthetics are true to the genre and look better in this film than in any of the previous ones, especially the creatures. They're more fluid in movement, the costumes are very detailed and gorgeously textured, and some of the set-pieces bring the gooey madness to a whole new level. Cinematography has a distinct feel to it.

The soundtrack also works very well, and adds a nightmarishly majestic tone to the film, especially in those moments featuring plenty of organic imagery.

Overall it´s one of the best tribute movies of the Alien universe.

I watched it last night and it was great, It's strange that I liked it so much, because it shows all the signs, i was hoping for, and it felt a true alien film, and this is a fan movie.

The characters do the normal job, personally i liked the voice actor in the credits scene, when he is entering the cave beneath the space jockey´s ship.

The aliens are probably the thing that will make or break this movie, and in my opinion they were impressive enough. The occasional CGI effects are never convincing, but then again they never are, so luckily they didn't overdo them.

The movie is highly entertaining and i recommend it to everybody.
