Many of my neighbors wear Duck Dynasty T-Shirts, my son's teacher gave him a Duck Dynasty coloring sheet to work on in his free time, and the local stores all have Duck Dynasty-related items for sale. As someone who tries to be fair, I gave the show a chance. The first time I watched it, the boys were sitting around talking about ice cream and apparently about how to motivate each other to actually do some work. Then one of them made a crack about preferring chunky women to skinny women. Then there was a prayer. Next episode they were out shooting some birds, then they cut to some apparently humorous remarks by one son about another bearded member of the family. Commercial break. Prayer. If you don't really care about minor aspects of T.V. entertainment such as writing, plot, character development and plausibility, this is the show for you.
At first I thought the worst about the show, judging before watching. Unfortunately I waited till the show replayed all the episodes at once, to finally catch one. Now I am HOOKED! My husband HATES reality TV shows BUT once he started watching he was hooked to. I hope they come back for a second season! This is really, really good show. Just sad because I did not support it from the start. The old saying is true "Can't always Judge a Book/Show by it's Cover!" I really hope there will be a Season 2, I will add the title to my DVR list :) The family is so close, and the way that they run the business cracks me up. They take pride in what they do but they never forget where they came from. The whole family makes the show so interesting, all of them add a unique quality to the show that makes you want to come back for more. Good Job Robertson Family, for making such a family friendly show!
My sister is responsible for introducing me to Duck Dynasty. Her entire family loves this show, and after watching several episodes I can see why. I am generally not a fan of reality shows, but this is just plain fun. The Robertsons have a very dry sense of humor and harbor some real characters in their clan.
I do wonder where they find the time to actually manufacture their duck calls as they seem to be busy approving their kids' boyfriends and girlfriends, teaching Willie's daughter to drive and getting into all sorts of trouble. But this is one close family and it's really a pleasure to watch their escapades.
Warning: The Robertsons are a huntin', shootin', fishin' type family; vegetarians may not enjoy watching catfish getting gutted on screen or other animals (snakes) shot to smithereens.

I really like this show. I'm not taking it as serious as alot of people...it's just entertaining and fun. And so, so refreshing to see teenagers treating their parents with respect. Something I haven't seen on TV in ages.
I just love this show. It sprouts more hilarious truisms than Shakespeare on a bad day. Personally, I block out the smoopey last minutes of the show, but the rest of it is sheer poetry. I come from redneck roots and have a deep respect for southern humor. This is redneck reality at its best.
Si is my personal favorite. His turn as Santa's Christmas elf will never be forgotten. "You want somethin' done right, hell, don't come to me!" is one of my favorite lines from the whole series. When the little boy asked Santa for an art set because he wanted to be an artist, Si the Angry Elf retorts, "Hell, they ain't no money in that." The sisters-in-law womenfolk stuff gets old, because they don't have the Robertson gift for snark, but Miss Kay is definitely cool. The Robertson men are nothing short of mythic in stature.

- CuriosidadesIn Willie's autobiography, he said that when they first started filming Uncle Si, he would clam up in front of the camera. They had to put a hidden camera under a shirt on one of the desks to film him. Once Si saw how funny he could be, he became more at home in front of the camera.
