ÜnOfficially Yours

"UnOfficially Yours" turned out to be a little bit too filled with clichés and sappy for my liking. And as such I gave up halfway through the movie, because it just utterly failed to appeal to me on any level.

The storyline is about Mackie Galvez (played by John Lloyd Cruz) who starts writing at a newspaper, where he runs into Ces Bricenio (played by Angel Locsin), a woman he is spellbound by since their one night together. Mackie tries with all his might and tricks to win over the reluctant Ces.

Clichés run high and the story progressed at a very slow pace, never offering any surprises. Everything was just oozing with predetermined sassy clichés and moments.

The acting in the movie was alright, although there was a disturbing lack of chemistry between the two lead performers, which ultimately made the movie seem less believable.

This movie seems to be aimed at a female audience, particularly one that seeks out sappy love stories. As a very non-member of that audience, I rate "UnOfficially Yours" a mere 3 out of 10 stars.
