Literally every "secret" is a giant nothingburger that has already been in public news forever. Don't expect this series to tell you anything you don't already know, or have any desire to know to begin with.
This thing popped up on my feed tonight (the final night of the 2020 democratic national convention FYI). For about 5 seconds there was a still image which included Joe Biden and then the promo launched. It took about three seconds for me to figure out this was some kind of loaded, manipulative, propagandistic drivel. Next step I Googled it. Not surprisingly looks like I'm right. I hope other Netflix customers realize when they're being played. Has Q Anon taken over Netflix programming? It's unbelievable to me that something like this is available on what has replaced network television. And this was second in my queue after the program I was resuming from last night? How many people are watching this crap? Please remember to vote!
The show is good fun, making the world around us seem a lot more interesting than it probably really is. In return, the show frequently strays from widely accepted history & reality. If you are the type of person that recognizes the things that are too good to be true (or at least spends the time to look it up to confirm), these kinds of shows are basically harmless fun. Unfortunately, and you can tell this from some of the reviews, many people assume that the material is true because this is "History" presented by academic-ish sounding people! I am as fascinated by area 51, fort knox, and the like as everyone else is...but the truth is sadly so mundane that if they made a TV series out of many of these things, almost nobody would watch!
Historical fiction can be good fun.

If the narration wasn't tacky enough, the speculation is worse. Good grief it bothers me that there's people out there taking things like this seriously.
"Why weren't they shown the REAL vault?!" -Fort Knox episode.
I can appreciate a conspiracy show, but the narration only asks stupidly rhetorical questions and is laughably stupid. Stupid.

This is a really educational and fun show. I wouldn't say most of it's really a secret, it's just a lot of conspiracy theory and odd type of stuff you don't hear about every day. To give you an idea, some titles of the episode are Secrets of Fort Knox, the White House, the mafia, the CIA etc. Most of it, as I said it stuff you may have read in the paper or seen on the news, but there are some juicy tid-bits thrown in each episode, enough to keep me coming back for more. If you are interest in American history, this is just the show for you. Unfortunately, I think there was only about 20 episodes or so. The History Channel has shows in this vein all the time though. I think there's one coming out called "The United Stuff of America"
