I only had to read the descriptions of a few episodes and watch 15 minutes of the first to realize this "docuseries" is nothing but a conglomerate of conspiracy theories, urban myths, etc. It's a shame what has happened to the History Channel. It used to be about historical events but has gotten totally dumbed down over the years. It would be great to have a really good History Channel or network. PBS does its best but runs on such a limited budget it's amazing what they are able to produce. Bring back the HC from early days of cable and let us see some in-depth, well-produced documentaries!!!
The show is good fun, making the world around us seem a lot more interesting than it probably really is. In return, the show frequently strays from widely accepted history & reality. If you are the type of person that recognizes the things that are too good to be true (or at least spends the time to look it up to confirm), these kinds of shows are basically harmless fun. Unfortunately, and you can tell this from some of the reviews, many people assume that the material is true because this is "History" presented by academic-ish sounding people! I am as fascinated by area 51, fort knox, and the like as everyone else is...but the truth is sadly so mundane that if they made a TV series out of many of these things, almost nobody would watch!
Historical fiction can be good fun.

What with COVID-19 grounding everyone at the moment, this is some great watching. Goes into all different top secret areas, each episode is a new theme. Documentary-style, with interviews with former FBI / Government Agencies who reveal what they can.
First, thank you History Channel for showing that your network has officially stopped showing anything historical in favor of showing completely sensationalistic programming. The History Channel should change their name to The Pseudo-History Channel.
Putting on Alex Jones as one of your "experts?" For anyone that doesn't know about this unhinged lunatic, please Google his name and be prepared to see some bat s**t crazy stuff. He believes that the Sandy Hook mass shooting was a false flag operation and none of the children at the school were actually murdered. He believes that the government is turning frogs gay. They should retitle this "America's book of military outposts... and the playboy mansion". The narrator simply poses the question of potential secrets existence, but don't go into any details. Some of the episodes were interesting and for the most part he interviews were relevant. However, the storylines jumped around and lots of stock footage was used.
