Agent Thomas of the United States Terrorist International Division (T.I.D.) heads a team investigating these events. As he prepares to brief the president, a pregnant and uninvited Dr. Virginia Edwards shows up at the T.I.D., claiming to have answers.

A second stranger appears claiming to be Jonah, a commercial diver who encountered a dangerous presence while in the South China Sea. Agent Thomas learns that he, Virginia, and Jonah all have something in common.

Virginia's pregnancy is rapidly advancing. Meanwhile, a British zoologist named Daniel shows up at the T.I.D. convinced that a mysterious viral outbreak at his zoo may lead to more answers.

While hooked up to lie detector devices, Virginia recounts the journey of her immaculate conception, Daniel relives a miraculous escape from the Lions' den with the help of a young friend, and Jonah reveals new details about his experience inside the whale. New revelations send Agent Thomas over the edge.

Things in the outside world are rapidly escalating. Agent Thomas receives more pressure from the president. Back in time, Virginia follows the signs and finds a new ally. Jonah wakes up confused after his hospital stay and reaches out to his estranged brother for answers.

After uncovering a major secret, Agent Thomas escalates their status to terrorist suspects. Under harsher questioning about their past, Jonah seeks solace in his dive partner, which leads to a major discovery. Daniel considers doing a public interview about their attack. Virginia is accused of evading authorities.

Kausar takes over the investigation as Agent Thomas deals with an unexpected death. Flashing back, Daniel realizes not everything is as it seems, and seeks a place of solace from the press. Margot reveals a secret she's been keeping from Jonah, which steers him towards the answer he seeks.

Emergency alerts go off around the world. A fateful event befalls Virginia and Agent Thomas while en route to the hospital. Back at T.I.D. headquarters, events take a turn for the worse for Jonah, Daniel, and Kausar. The group bands together as Agent Thomas starts to believe.
