Watching just for nostalgia and it didn't disappoint. Anyone who was around when TLC came out will remember all of the events here as it starts right before the trio broke. So, there were not too many surprises. I just sat back, listened to the music and enjoyed seeing their path to fame. I like how they handled some of the more sensitive subjects. The acting was decent. I mean, KeKe, Drew and Lil Mama...what's not to like there? Going back and getting a better glimpse at Lisa Left Eye Lopez and the events leading up to her death was surreal. I remember that like it was yesterday. These ladies were pioneers for sure and this was a tasteful tribute to their success. If you are fan, you will for sure want to watch this.
I loved every bit of this film & each person in this did such an amazing JOB!
Well, when I turned this film on I expected a VH1 movie. This movie was both directed and cast good enough to be on the BIG SCREEN. That is comparing this film to some of the TURDS I have seen this year. The actor was awesome, the casting was awesome. The casting was so good you forget what the real artists look like by the end of the first few minutes. To avoid ruining anything I will not give my opinion on the trails that the group faced but WATCH this film. If you avoid this movie because you feel on way or another about the music please don't. I was never a TLC fan and can not truly call myself one after seeing the film but I can say I now appreciate their art.
People seem to be very generous towards the rating of this movie due to it being a made for TV movie, but I mean it can't be compared with theatrical releases like "Ray" or "Walk The Line" or even "Notorious" for that matter
It's just a obvious TV production and I expected a little more from it to be honest
I expected Left-Eyes burning down the house and death to have a bigger impact in the movie but it's all fairly rushed and portrayed without much depth
Something that's also lacking depth are the characters, especially the characters around the main characters, now I really like Evan Ross I think he's one of the better young black actors out there BUT I just don't see him playing Dallas Austin, it just doesn't work IMO...
All the boyfriends in their lives feel just like empty shells tbh, they namedrop Mack 10 who was T-Boz's man for a good while and they have a guy play him but I don't recall him even having any lines just standing in the background, and the guys who do have lines as I said don't feel very real
The TLC characters are a little better but they to come across as caricatures more then full-fleshed human beings occasionally
I don't think people who aren't TLC fans will get much out of this movie

Suppose that after much effort, sleep deprivation, state-to-state travel, endless rehearsal, and performance to launch your product, you at last feel as though your dreams are finally coming true-only to discover that you have nothing to show for it. The music industry's cunning and scheming nature is astounding. At first, Pebbles was meant to function as the group's protector and big sister, but she soon realized she had a cash cow in front of her who didn't understand contracts and took advantage of them. What kind of person could be that cruel? Even though it was heartbreaking to watch, I think Chili made the right decision career wise to terminate her pregnancy the group would not have been the same if she had carried out before they were well-known, as the music industry at the time discouraged women from getting pregnant because they believed it would destroy their careers. Given that the majority of the songs were based on personal experience, TLC wrote a number of songs about relationships. These songs show the progression from love to heartbreak to moving on, and they provided women hope that it's okay to make mistakes and grow from them.

- CuriosidadesIn the beginning of the movie, Pebbles mentions successful music groups, including The Supremes. Evan Ross, who played Dallas Austin, is the son of Diana Ross, one of the founding members of The Supremes.
- Erros de gravaçãoThe outfit Lisa is wearing when she burns down the house is different to the outfit she is wearing when Tionne & Chilli find her in the woods. The outfit is in fact the same outfit that Lisa wore when she confronted Andre & his mistress.
