Kirby is snoozing happily on a hill on the popo island when suddenly the evil Necrodeus appears! He Was the leader of the skull gang who wanted to drown light in darkness. Necrodeus zaps Kirby with his magic splitting Kirby into 10 weaker Kirby 's. Necrodeus easily defeats the rest of the Kirby's leaving only one weak Kirby. Kirby is almost about to give up hope when a star born from his heart says "follow me Kirby so we can beat Necrodeus together!" And so Kirby embarked on a epic adventure to pull himself together!
