Craters of the Moon

Start out with, Craters of the Moon is a geological wonder stretching miles and miles. It looks like the surface of another planet. It had absolutely nothing to do with that setting. The entire movie takes place in a car in the snow where you see nothing. So, let's expand on that blunder and add to it a horrible script, ridiculous actors NOTHING of NOTE HAPPENS and what does is not scary. It's like a buildup to some kind of scare and then then you have a pedestrian accident no one cares about. Do not waste your time.

An abuser and his overly tolerant wife get stuck together in a storm. If that doesn't trigger you (and for many, it might), feel free to watch it.

The best thing for the character of the husband would have been for him to die a painful death in the first 5 minutes of the movie. He is the epitome of the slow-witted abuser, and if you've ever met anyone like him, the movie becomes very difficult to watch. If you've ever even dated someone like that, the movie might send you into some pretty severe PTSD.

I started out feeling sorry for the wife, but then realized she was irritatingly dumb as a box of rocks, so really, if both of them had ended up smears on the road it would have been a gift to the genetic future of the human race.

It's very hard-to-watch a film wherein both characters are this infuriating. However, it is actually quite well made. The acting is marvelous (unless both of those people really are that moronic and emotionally crippled). The writing is good, the cinematography is professional, and the editing is smart. The progression of events is good. Unfortunately, my prime response was to want to reach through the screen and tie them both up and drag them to therapy.

The ending is satisfying on one level, but on others it felt a little bit like the punch-line to a joke. It is where the acting gets truly superb, however.

As annoying as these people are, I'd say it was worth it to get to the end.

Somewhat interesting to watch not knowing what's coming. Low level entertainment which keeps you engaged.

So you think you've had bad boyfriends or girlfriends? Get a load of Roger, played by Cody Lightning. I'm assuming Mr. Lightning is a fine person in real life, but, man, can he play a jerk.

After a confrontation with another baddie at a rest stop, Roger speeds into a snowstorm with his wife, Molly, played very well by Breeda Wool. Molly is quite pretty and apparently sensible, and you're wondering for quite a while how she got involved with this piece of work. Could be a case of battered spouse syndrome, who knows.

So they drive into the snowstorm in the middle of the night and get their classic mid-60s Mustang stranded on a deserted road. (What a waste of a great car on a guy like Roger.) Naturally, Roger blames his wife. They're stranded for days, with Roger making Molly's life hell.

The film is slow at times, with Roger heaping one indignity after another on Molly. But... stick this one out. The ending is worth it.

Good movie. Another wired thing is if you pause the movie at 00:28:33 in the background you will see an object hovering in the cloud above the mountain almost dead center a little to the right looking at the screen!!! Kinda of creepy!!! Idk if it's a U.F.O or just something stuck on the camera lens??? U be the judge!!!
