The Director and the financier had two very different versions of the film, including both the cut and presentation (poster, trailer, marketing, et al). A Director's Cut still might come out at some point.

Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde also starred together in Eu Queria Ter a Sua Vida (2011).

The film was shot in only 20 days.

The film is heavily influenced by the French New Wave, Fitzgerald's "The Beautiful and Damned," and the early films of Woody Allen.
