If your looking for a fun time, then I'd say check out Scaredy Squirrel. It's an underrated show but has a lot of good one liners and nice sleek animation. I've only see eight episodes but from what I've seen it's got me yearning for me. Scaredy in himself is a very endearing character. He's funny and cute and the voice work for him in particular is really well done. I'd say he is the best character on the show which is a benefit for him to be the main character. The other supporting characters in particular Dave, Nester and his mother are all memorable enough funny characters who get me to laugh every once in a while. The episodes are nice and bright and some of the gags are quite humorous. I especially like just how fun the show is. Every episode is just packed full of energy and spunk. I think compared to other kid shows like My Little Pony it stacks up pretty well with a more adult centric style so I'd say it'd be enjoyable especially for 7 to ten year olds with also getting a few gags in for older viewers. A fun show all around.
'Scaredy Squirrel' (2011-2013)
Opening thoughts: While there are far worse animated shows out there ('Johnny Test', 'Uncle Grandpa', 'Angela Anaconda', 'Breadwinners', 'Problem Solverz', 'Fanboy and Chum Chum', 'Chalkzone', 'The Cleveland Show' for examples), 'Scaredy Squirrel' still isn't good. As far as Nelvana's output goes, it is for me definitely in the lesser end and actually had a hard time believing that it came from them, with them being responsible for gems like 'The Magic School Bus', 'Babar', 'Redwall' and 'Rupert'. This could easily pass for past prime Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon, and it would be understandable if anybody ever mistook it as one of theirs.
Good things: Oddly enough, there are good things with 'Scaredy Squirrel'. The voice acting is game with the voice actors doing all they can injecting some degree of energy into their very tired material. Did like the backgrounds, which does have some nice colour and detail.
Some of the music is quite cool. That is pretty much it with the redeeming qualities.
Bad things: Even as a child, the characters all bored and irritated me and not only are they still both those things they are even more so. The character interaction lacks wit and any kind of connection, with not much chemistry. Friendships don't feel like friendships and any antagonism lacks tension and is very predictable.
Furthermore, there is an over-reliance on the cruder style of humour in the writing and it all came over as juvenile and lacking in taste as well as mean spirited. The writing is also very generic and bland with no surprises, with it being too juvenile for older audiences and younger audiences will find that too much of it will go over their heads, so target audience is an issue. The generic blandness and repetition is present in the storylines which does nothing with a decent premise. Nothing original whatsoever. Despite some nice backgrounds, the animation is not to my tastes. The colours are flat and the character designs hideous.
Closing thoughts: All in all, weak.
3/10.

After watching a few episodes online, I find the series (as I said in the title) cute and comical. Some haters say the show borrows a lot from Spongebob. Me, I don't think so. What aspects of this show are they looking at? In fact, I think what's in the series are things very common in most cartoon shows. It is common for characters to become hyperactive and extremely emotional on certain situations.
When I saw some stuff about the show on this website, I develop some curiosity as I'm a bit of a squirrel fan. The show centers on Scaredy Squirrel who goes on slapstick adventures with his best buddy Dave who is a skunk. Scaredy, as the name implies, is a squirrel who can easily be frightened, although he does show some daringness in a lot of cases. Besides daringness, he's also a great stacker and organizer in grocery items.

For some time, a number of users have been negatively comparing Scaredy Squirrel to some stupid limburger. I wonder, where's the logic in that? After seeing a few episodes I don't see any strong similarity.
I think the personalities of Scaredy and Dave is something I've seen in comedies called a double act. In other words, Scaredy is the straight man while Dave is the funny man. For more info about double act, there's an article on it in Wikipedia.
Scaredy is a squirrel who's easily frightened as his name implies. However, he's an expert in organizing and stacking things at a grocery. The limburger is just a quirky blockhead who overcooks pancakes at a bistro.
Dave seems a little dull but nowhere near as dumb as that red spur who is the limburger's best friend.
As for Nestor, I don't think he's based on some moldy sea spider. Nestor is a cynical grocery operator who make things difficult for the employees, particularly Scaredy. The moldy sea spider is just a snobbish dude who wants to be away from the limburger and spur who enjoy toying with him.
I don't know what people have in mind but the way they do their negative comparing is lame

Upon seeing some episodes on the web, I would say the show is as good as any cartoon series. I wonder why a lot of detractors say the show is copying a ridiculous talking block of cheese? Whatever those simpletons are saying, it doesn't seem to make any sense. I sometimes think most cartoon shows are presented in similar style and tone. The style of that talking cheese is probably based on some earlier shows.
The series shows the bizarre tales of a squirrel and his skunk pal. The squirrel also has a job at a grocery under a cynical supervisor.
A with every animated series, viewers can have a variety of views on a certain show. But if you're someone who adores squirrels, then this show is for you.
