Os Inseparáveis

Loved it ! It lets us imagine and it's really well made. More like this please. My son 7 my nephew 9 they had a blast and were into the movie all the way through. I don't love musicals but this one was fun engaging so 100 points. The idea of the marionettes the dog and the animals it was a good idea. But what I really loved was the way it inspired any of the viewers to really go through the imagination process with the whole story. The characters were well thought and didn't feel they went to far. It's just a good feel good movie for the whole family. Really loved it and wish I was better at written reviews to do it just.

I'll start by saying that I found out about «The Inseparables» last year and started expecting it because it was made by my favorite Belgian animation studio, NWAVE.. Today I was finally able to watch it and what can I say about this cartoon?

«The Inseparables» - is a wonderful animated adventure for the whole family to watch.

The plot of the film is quite simple, But it was great, easy and interesting. The 90-minute running time flew by quickly, imperceptibly and with pleasure.

The cartoon teaches that dreams come true, the most important thing is not to give up and realize it in reality.

The jokes were funny and the characters were well developed.

With each new project, the studio has graphics Nwave is getting better and better, and you can see it in this cartoon. I don't want to compare the graphics of Disney or Pixar, which are more well-known companies, but as strange as it sounds, I would like to put Nwave next to Disney and Pixar studios in terms of graphics quality and more. Every hair, bush, drops of water were perfectly worked out, and not only them. Also, I really like how New York was shown in this cartoon. Parks, streets, and especially the night Times Square were shown atmosphericly, I even wanted to walk along it. In the scenes of the protagonist's fantasy, the animation was made in 2D style, something similar was recently used by the Disney studio in the cartoon «Wish».

I really liked the soundtrack of the cartoon, I want to mention the song «Where Is My Mind» by Puggy, , Egil Franzen, Romain Descampe and Matthew Irons. This song was perfect for what was happening on the screen, the rest of the songs were also good and also fit perfectly with what was happening.

As a result, «The Inseparables» - is an excellent, kind, wonderful cartoon that is worth watching on a gray and boring evening with your family. I think the cartoon will appeal to both children and adults.

Before I tell you, I would like to add something to my assessment. Studio Nwave They like to make references to their past cartoons and announce their next projects in new cartoons. In «The Inseparables» there was an announcement of the next cartoon, «Chickenhare 2: A New Adventure». This is a sequel to the 2022 cartoon, the first part was called «Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness». I haven't watched this cartoon yet, but I will definitely watch it when I have time. Also, after watching «The Inseparables», I wanted to rewatch the «The Son of Bigfoot» duology, someday I will also watch it if I have free time.

Well, it was quite embarrassing to go alone to a cartoon and sit in the hall when there were parents with children in the hall, but it was worth it!

My rating is 9 out of 10 and I recommend watching this cartoon with the whole family.

As the advertising has insisted, this is essentially a retelling of Don Quixote through a Toy Story like world. Except of just toys, puppets and animals also talk, and there appears to be no unspoken rule about hiding from humans, which makes the set up especially confusing, given some things we later learn.

Animation wise, it's generic CGI, but the imagination sequences have a vivid painted style, which is quite pleasant to look at.

Story wise, the comparisions to Toy Story are really unfavourable, as this features a much more by the numbers plot, including a somewhat forced third act break-up. I will give credit, however, in how creative some of the actions by the characters are, as well as the concept of a self-run puppet show

Overall mid.

If you're up on your Cervantes, then you will appreciate just why "Don" is fed up with being the butt of all the jokes amongst his puppet fraternity and so, in despair, sets off to tilt at a few windmills (without or without distressed ducklings). Along the way, he encounters the battery powered "DJ Doggy Dog" and they have some fun adventures together rescuing the needy. Meantime, back at their home the other puppets are under threat from two young burglars who want to kidnap and sell them. It's just by pure chance that our two dragon-defeating cavaliers stumble upon the warehouse where his erstwhile friends are being held captive. Can they figure out a way to save them from the bubblewrap? This is quite a fun action film that's peppered with some fun dialogue, imaginary derring-do and it delicately reinforces messages of team-playing, loyalty, family and not getting your electronic toys wet! The pace is quite good, the animation engaging to watch and though I'm not entirely sure what demographic it's aiming for, I still found it entertaining with a slightly more grown up "Pinocchio" style of storytelling.

I watched this in 2024 and I never knew that the writers are the one who wrote Toy Story so that's why they are kinda similar, although I loved the twins as the villains like Trolls 3 and the Don's imagination animation is really good, I can't believe that this company is underrated and not really well known. I appreciate the animators who animated the 2.5D parts and the 3D parts, shout out to them.

I really love the characters, especially Dee cause she's shows that she's not just a "damsel in distress" but she can be a hero or a fighter, and Don is such an interesting character to this day..
