Tom e Jerry: O Mágico de Oz

I never thought any movie could compare with the original Wizard of Oz! Let's face it, when I watch the original 1939 version, I sit there reciting every line of dialog in unison with the cast! Everything about the original is "sacred" to me.

A few years ago, Disney made a live version RETURN TO OZ. I own it on DVD. It's nice -- but I can never fully enjoy it because of all the "differences." Any change from the original, and the lack of music, just remove the "magic" for me.

I bought this DVD for my wife as one of her anniversary presents. I expected to not like it. Wow, was I ever mistaken.

The whole production is absolutely adorable. It follows the original very closely, including ALL THE MUSIC! The colors are gorgeous. The DVD includes TWO versions -- one version begins in black and white (in Kansas) and then changes to color (in Oz), exactly like the original! I won't belabor the point. For ANYONE who loves The Wizard of Oz and is a fan of the 1939 Judy Garland version, this is a must-see, must-own, must-share.

One of the most delightful children's films ever made. I'd go so far as to say that it's my favourite Wizard of Oz spinoff! Love this. Would highly recommend.

Now I've been a massive fan of Tom and Jerry since I was a kid and this love is one of my best memories with these characters. After rewatching it, I still find myself enjoying this movie as an adult.

Positives for Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz (2011): There is some fun to be had seeing these characters and their shenanigans taking place within the 1939 movie. The animation is always constantly great in these Tom and Jerry movies. And finally, you still get the classic running gags that these characters are known for and how they constantly survive them over and over again.

Negatives for Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz (2011): It is literally the same movie as it was back in 1939 only with Tom and Jerry thrown into the mix. The little gray mouse following Tom and Jerry on this journey was unbearably annoying. I also really annoyed with how dead ass serious Droopy Dog was with his job trying to guard the Wicked Witch of the West.

Overall, if you want to see Tom and Jerry in The Wizard of Oz (1939), then this is the movie for you. As for me, I had a decent time with the premise.

Much like with Willy Wonka, this was a movie nobody asked for. The two don't really go together that well. It's long, boring and just a huge rehash of the story we all knew and grew up to love mixed with the duo's antics every few scenes.

Much like most of them skip it.

Well me too, again I don't expect to much in this movie but eventually this movie is awesome, even in the beginning of the movie I was impressed, it's enjoyable, it's fun, and what make me fell in love with this movie is when they do the same intro, music, song, and color from the original movie, for me that's amazing, and the voice acting especially the actress who voices Dorothy is really really same like Judy Garland voice, i highly recommend this movie after you watch the original the wizard of oz"
