It is beyond me how anyone could trash this short or give it a poor rating. This was obviously made by people who are real fans of GI Joe and extremely knowledgeable about the vast GI Joe Mythos. Loads of attention to detail has gone into the fast paced story and it is much appreciated. There is also quite a lot of technical proficiency being shown, from the camera movements to the actual puppetry, shooting small action figures like these are pretty damn difficult. The talking effects work and the voice work is pretty good overall. I loved the quirky sets, and I think the modern figures blend perfectly with the vintage vehicles. In every way, these are the battles I imagined having if my Action Figures could run around on their own. This was super cool for Paramount to put out and they should do more for the next GI Joe feature.

This was just bad. First off, using toys is a bad idea. Great to display or play with if young, but a movie? No. Also whoever decided to do this used all kinds of silly stuff for props. Door stoppers and other blatant things take away from the silly story and horrible voice acting if that is possible. If you're going to make a fan film, do it live. If you're really ambitious make animation if possible. Toys are horrible. The jokes are less than childish, (at 10yrs old I wouldn't had found this funny OR entertaining), but rather dumb. Last but not least, passing this off as anything but some guys with toys, a video camera, and too much time isn't a good idea. I don't even know why it's on IMDb. It has less merit than keyboard cat.
