Hye Ri sees a man walking into the ocean. Thinking he might be suicidal, she rushes into the water after him. Unable to remember what happened, she meets her friends at a lodge whose owner turns out to be the man she attempted to rescue.
Hye Ri and her friends Na Yeon and Seung Min discuss the odd behavior of the lodge owner, whom Na Yeon has dubbed the "mermaid prince". When a man harasses Hye Ri, the lodge owner comes to her aid by claiming to be her boyfriend.
Hye Ri and Woo Hyuk go for a nighttime walk on the beach. He explains that he does not have a sense of touch but that he can feel her hand. She kisses him. Seung Min intervenes in their relationship in an attempt to protect Hye Ri.
Na Yeon encourages Hye Ri's relationship with Woo Hyuk, but Seung Min discourages it. Hye Ri and Na Yeon go out drinking. When Hye Ri gets drunk, Seung Min comes to her aid and confesses that he likes her, but she has fallen asleep.
When Hye Ri awakes, she is embarrassed by her recollection that Seung Min carried her home. When Hye Ri gets lost at night, Woo Hyuk, Seung Min, and Moon Seok look for her. After Woo Hyuk finds Hye Ri, they return to the lodge and kiss.
Hye Ri and Woo Hyuk discuss continuing their relationship, but a complication arises when Seung Min confesses to Hye Ri that he has loved her ever since they first met three years earlier.
