The Tradesmen

It was so educational for those who do not understand the trades and the skill involved in these lines of work. It shows how although these people may not have a fancy college degree or a high paying desk job they are still very intelligent and very good at what they do. The only complaint is that we should have an updated episode of this showing the increase of vocational education in schools and the impact that may be making in these types of career fields.

Watching this film was an eye opener and not only made me appreciate blue collar jobs more but inform me of their work and the meaning that carries with it. The jobs go deeper than societies realms and comes with necessities and passion, not money or social class standing.

This film helps to create the individual to think about not just trades but the individuals who work within their trade. Individuals within the trade love their job and take pride in what they do just as those who work in an office, behind a computer, etc. These jobs are needed in our world and the individuals who perform this job need to be respected and provided for just as the upper class jobs are being provided for and respected. Tradesmen are creative intelligent individuals within their profession.

This film provides a detailed look at the lives of America's blue collar workers. It emphasizes the importance of these jobs and the risk we run by not having enough skilled people to fill these jobs. It really sheds a lot of light on how intelligent and artistic blue collar workers are, and how vocational education should be encouraged.

I really enjoyed the film. It highlights the beautiful and hard work of blue collar workers and the social and collegiate stigma against them. You don't need a college degree to get a good paying job that is a benefit to society. We need to acknowledge that the 'doers' are more valuable than the thinkers. Anyone can think of an idea, but not everyone can bring that idea to life.

We need to acknowledge who is going to rebuild America and encourage young people to be a part of the upcoming 'green industrial revolution'. Otherwise, we will continue to see a labor shortage and watch as our infrastructure continues to crumble.
