This ten-minute interview with Traci Lords can be found on Shout! Factory's DVD release of the 1988 film NOT OF THIS EARTH. Needless to say, Lords talks about her role in the film and shares plenty of behind-the-scenes stories including how she got the part and why she never worked with producer Roger Corman and director Jim Wynorski again. Lords starts off talking about her director who she said was loving on moment and then hot-headed the next. She says she understood everything he did but at the same time he scared her in a good way at times. She also shares her thoughts on the 12-day shooting schedule and about the fact that she learned the director was working at such a fast pace because he had a bet with Corman on if he could break the original film's shooting time. Lords also goes into detail about the "Corman Contract" which required actresses to do a certain amount of nude scenes and she claims this is the reason she didn't do a follow-up movie with Corman because she simply didn't want to do nudity. Overall this is a pretty entertaining interview as Lords is constantly talking and she comes off quite charming. Fans of that 1988 film will certainly want to check this out after watching the movie.
