Don't take my lack of a 10/10 as meaning there's something wrong with the show. It's entertaining, but it's nothing new.

I came across QUIZarenaLIVE after a video was recommended to me on YouTube. I had been watching reruns of Whose Line Is It Anyway and thought I'd give this a shot. After watching 4 episodes back-to-back, I jumped online to read about the show. I never felt compelled to create an account or leave a review before, but there's something about this show that just works.

Hosted by Richard Lovegrove and Rhiannon Elizabeth Irons, QUIZarenaLIVE is a trivia game show. There's a lot to like about it. Firstly, echoing other reviews, the hosts are hot, informative, and above all, engaging with the live interactions taking place during the live streams. Secondly, the amount of movie knowledge and general trivia that is on display each week is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Thirdly, the games that are played are fun, however, a lot of the games seem to be recycled or heavily influenced by similar shows like Talking About Your Generation or Whose Line Is It Anyway.

QUIZarenaLIVE does stand out from shows that are similar with its ability to deliver breaking entertainment news live on air, engaging with a live audience, and not berating people if they get something wrong. It also delivers on compelling guests. From the episodes I've seen, I was excited to see Mike Franks from NCIS join them one night. That alone is worth checking the show out!

The technical issues that plague the stream in recent months have been problematic, hence why it's not a perfect 10/10 score. It's cute to see that they have a plushie of Gizmo from Gremlins on hand to pin the blame of technical errors on, but as cute as it is, it doesn't fix the problem at hand.

Richard and Rhiannon are pretty good as hosts. They complement each other well with Rhiannon being more of a calming influence while Richard exudes energy. They're spunky hosts, both blessed with good looks and brains. What hope is there for the rest of us plain people? They're also generous and compassionate, often backing charity drives and causes. In 2022, Rhiannon joined the Kiss Goodbye to MS drive where she ran 50kms to raise funds and awareness for multiple sclerosis. No one in the reviews I've read has put any emphasis on this, but I feel this is pivotal to them standing out.

If you've been a fan of shows like Talking About Your Generation, Whose Line Is It Anyway, Don't Forget Your Toothbrush, The Chase, Good News Week, and even classics like Sale of the Century and Wheel of Fortune, you'll get a kick out of QUIZarenaLIVE.

There's not much I can say that hasn't been said already about this show. It's fun, fast-paced, chaotic, but above all, interactive. This is the selling aspect to the show.

The show streams live across YouTube, Twitch, and social media platforms. It opens it up to a world-wide viewership.

Personally, I enjoy the two hosts - Richard and Rhiannon. R & R. Both cemented in the entertainment world, each with their own skills, Richard and Rhiannon bring a dazzling dynamic to the screen. Richard has a boyish charm, movie star good looks, and an enviable energy, while Rhiannon has a seductive lilt to her voice, a contagious smile, and an intimidating database of knowledge floating around in her mind. They're both passionate and it shows. These two will draw you in and are the reason you'll return week after week.

The show consists of quick games that accrue points for the guests. I'm sure others have named their favorite games. For me, I enjoy Chronoloco, Venkman Burn in Hell, You Bet Your Life, and a new addition called Run Thomas Run.

Guests compete against each other for points in these games before facing off against the viewers and the QUIZarenaQUEEN, Rhiannon, in a final tournament of movie trivia.

If you're a fan of Whose Line Is It Anyway, you'll gravitate towards QUIZarenaLIVE. There really is something for everyone. No matter your age or your trivia knowledge, you will be suckered into the show and find yourself coming back time and time again.

I stumbled across this show thanks to a work colleague and it's been the highlight of my 2022 so far.

The concept is solid; A variety show that mixes pop culture with current entertainment news and movie trivia while introducing audiences to members of the Australian entertainment industry. And it's not just actors or directors. Past guests have been entertainers from all walks of life, promoting a sense of unity and community among the members of the show.

The show is hosted by Richard Lovegrove, an actor/entertainer. Richard has been the host since the first episode and has done a cracking job at enticing viewers to tune in.

Recent episodes have introduced a second host into the mix in the form of Rhiannon Elizabeth Irons, an actress/author and season 1 reigning champion.

These two together have an undeniable chemistry that make for great viewing. Their witty and flirtatious banter is a huge highlight of the show and aids in making the guests feel welcome. Rhiannon is a walking encyclopedia of movie knowledge and she manages to find ways each week to floor us with her incredible trivia. Richard's charm is always on full display, making both the audience watching at home and the guests who appear on the show feeling incredibly comfortable, proving he is leading man material. They are the perfect duo. Their smiles and laughter is infectious. If you're in a bad mood when you begin watching the show, you won't be in one for long.

The show has the guests playing four rounds of random, fun games. Nothing is off limits as the games range from music-inspired guessing games through to straight movie trivia, where Rhiannon's terrifying knowledge is on full-display. I've played one final tournament and have been absolutely crushed by her. No wonder she's the QUIZarenaQUEEN (I hope I got that right).

There are special events linked to the show including two virtual escape rooms, a New Years Eve special in which Richard and Rhiannon teamed up to ring in 2022 together in a "Get-To-Know-Us" episode. There is even a couple of gaming specials for upcoming soon-to-be-released video games.

Moral of this long-winded review is the show is highly entertaining and I recommend you taking a chance and tuning into the next live stream. You won't be disappointed.

The show centers around host, Richard Lovegrove, who welcomes those watching at home to join in the fun and frivolity by helping out the nights guests in 4 rounds of games, ranging from musical spectacles to mashed-up movie posters.

Each round, the wheel of four tunes (getit?) is spun, revealing a game to played. Guests are awarded points for correct answers, while points are deducted for incorrect answers.

Movie trivia is the forefront of the final tournament, which is 10 multiple choice questions. Ranging through various movie genres and including music and literature, the final tournament is designed for those playing along at home to participate in the interactive game, crowning a winner at the end of the night.

The dynamic between the guests is what gives this show a 10/10 rating. The compatibility of personalities is magic. The fact that we, the audience, also get to learn a few things about upcoming projects the guests are working on, or learning some facts about the arts is an added bonus.

Very entertaining show. Cannot wait to see what happens for them this year.

Richard Lovegrove is an exceptional host. A cheeky devil with a cunning grin, his charm and charisma shines through. You can tell he really loves what he does. And that smile has only grown with the addition of the QUIZarenaQUEEN, Rhiannon Elizabeth Irons to the cast. (Rhiannon cleaned up season 1, becoming the first ever champion of the show and currently holds the highest score)

The games are entertaining, often combining a love of movies and music. The audience watching are encouraged to play along, assisting the guests with our answers. The final tournament is a 10 multi-choice quiz, penned by Rhiannon Elizabeth Irons, and is designed to name a winner from the audience playing along at home.

Interactive fun, QUIZarenaLIVE is the best way to spend a Thursday night. Especially if you're on the graveyard shift...
