Just saw "The Last Queen" this week, and I've got to say, I was genuinely impressed. I'm an American guy living in Paris, and I didn't know much about Algeria's history, but this film had me completely hooked. The story was really engaging, with a mix of romance, political drama, and personal challenges that kept me on the edge of my seat.

The acting was top-notch, too. The whole cast did an amazing job, making me feel connected to the characters and their struggles. It's not often that a movie can make me feel so invested in the people on the screen. The main actor of Algerian descent, who recently starred in a huge blockbuster, delivered an outstanding performance that showcased his incredible range and talent.

What stood out the most to me, though, was the incredible depiction of Algerian history. From the ancient Berber civilization to the French colonization and the fight for independence, I learned a lot while being entertained. The filmmakers did an excellent job making everything look authentic and staying true to the historical facts.

My only regret is that I had to watch the movie in the French version, as the original version wasn't available at the theater near my place. I would have loved to experience the film in its original language to fully appreciate the nuances of the performances and dialogue.

Overall, I'd highly recommend "The Last Queen" if you're looking for a good movie with an interesting story and great acting. Plus, you'll learn a thing or two about Algeria's past, which is a bonus. Definitely worth checking out!

I found the movie to be very captivation, brutal sometimes.

The story of the last queen to role algeirs was beautifully told, showing this algerian historical figure in more derails making her more relatable.

But yet giving younger generation a glimpse of the history of the region which is something that should be done more often due to the rich history of the north African region in general and the vast/rich algerian history.

The leading actress was really great in her role as the queen of algiers make us relive that period of time and so as the rest of the cast.

Amazing work, I really recommend it.

A very beautiful film and a wonderful script that tells about a great country, Algeria, its heritage, culture, caftan and other things and about its great history and the history of its rulers, as it was the best country in North Africa and the ruler of the Mediterranean.

Algeria is often claimed to be the crossroads of four worlds Mediterranean, Arab, Amazighand African. It is a multi-faceted country with a diversified and rich cultural heritage as evidenced by its millennia-long history.

Ancestral monuments and historical sites rightly make Algeria a land of wealth. Dating from the Phoenician period, the Numidian kingdoms, the Roman to the Muslim and Ottoman eras and the French colonization, the material heritage of Algeria conveys a snapshot of life through history markers frozen in time.

Very beautiful movie about Algeria before the Ottomans. Full of historical facts, I also loved the algerian traditional dresses. The movie is well made, the characters are so real just like you are living in that time, it takes you back to an important time of an algerian history. Algeria, has amazing history. What you saw in the movie is just a fraction of that country have been through. A fact that a lady confronts pirates and invasions show the courage and bravery of the queen Zafira, she is an example of an Algerian brave woman and how she fought for her country so hard, a must watch movie full action.

What a beautiful piece of work, the story is interesting, the clothes are amazing, Algeria is amazing, and there are still untold stories... My beautiful Algeria I wish and I hope this work finds a wide resonance all over the world. I am amazed.

The performance of the actors, the directing and the production... are wonderful. It deserves to take many awards.
