Angry Birds Rio (2011) is the only game in the collection to not have DLC, despite the mobile game having an add-on to promote Rio 2 (2014).
In 2019, Rovio removed most of their Angry Birds titles from the App Store due to technical issues and wanting to focus on new projects. This made Angry Birds Trilogy the only way to play the first 3 games in the franchise until 2022 when Rovio released a remaster of Angry Birds Classic for iPhone and Android known as Rovio's Classic: Angry Birds until later being renamed to Red's First Flight. Seasons still isn't available and Rio won't be coming back due to licensing issues as that game was removed before the massive deletion, along with Angry Birds Star Wars (2012) and Angry Birds Star Wars 2 (2013).
Despite the console being in HD, the Wii U version of the game is the Wii version enchanted in HD.
This isn't the first time Angry Birds was on a console. Angry Birds (or known in Trilogy as Angry Birds Classic) was ported to the PlayStation 3.
This is the first Angry Birds title to have the characters animated in the Angry Birds Toons style. The next game to use his style would be Angry Birds Epic (2014).
