I agree with many of the reviewers because i usually like Natalie Hall because she is so adorable. I don't know what it is about several of the Hallmark Leads, not good at all. It seems like they take these guys out of soap operas and expect them to act better in a movie. I know a few of you bashed Corey but this wasn't his fault because the script was terrible. Even Natalie looks stupid at times with this story, but she is so beautiful.
As far as road trip romances go, this one came across like a 1970s AAA road map. Once you open it up, it's almost impossible to fold it back the right way and you end up shoving it into the glove box a jumbled mess. This one lured you in with the premise of road trip hijinx, but in the end it just comes across as flat and the hijinx mostly forced. I like Natalie Hall, but her character was rude to a lot of people (and the backstory with Corey was just a little overdone). The Renaissance Faire added some entertainment, but also went on for way too long. The subplot with the conniving wallflower bridesmaid got way too much screen time, and the ending was just ridiculous. And for the second time this year, Hallmark allows the maid of honor to turn her toast to the bride into a soliloquy about herself. It had its moments, but not enough to merit watching again.
This is pretty much what you'd expect. There are no great highs or lows or any surprises. Like so many movies about being stranded or a bad road trip, the only tension was if Megan would get to the wedding. It doesn't really matter what the obstacles were but there were definitely a flight cancellation and a car break down.
The tone and style of the movie reminded me so much of Cross Country Christmas. The silliness was a little too much at times. The sequence where everyone added "eth" to the end of every verb got annoying. But otherwise the Renaissance Fair was a highlight.
I tend to enjoy Natalie Hall, but not always. I did not like the character Megan in the early stages. I thought she was unnecessarily mean to Alden. But she and Corey Sevier had modest chemistry.

The HM road trip movies are pretty much all the same. This was not one of the best... I have liked Natalie Hall in other HM movies, not so much in this one. She was not likeable at the beginning of the movie, and the romance just never seemed to develop. No chemistry. The Renaissance Fair was not bad, but the awful dialect of the participants was just annoying. And HM continues to go WOKE, interracial couples that add nothing to the movie, I'm going to be turning off these movies from now on as soon as the WOKE elements are presented. Older HM much better.
The sister of the bride doesn't know what church her sister is getting married at?? Come on!!
Hallmark movies are generally lame but enjoyable but this was really, really lame. Yet I continued to watch.

- Erros de gravação"First Consecrational Church." The main character parks outside an Episcopal Church (identifiable by the trademark red, white, and blue hanging garden sign). When inside, the Papal Flag (Roman Catholic) is on display in the background.
