The role of Gelai Agustin was originally offered to Claudine Barretto, the real-life sister of Gretchen Barretto. However, due to her busy schedule, the role was given to Bea Alonzo.
The Vera Couture office scenes were filmed at the School of Fashion and the Arts in Makati during the same school year as award-winning filmmaker Emille Joson and acclaimed visual artist Anina Rubio, years before they rose to prominence in the industry.
