31 year old Stian is desperately struggling with love, and has lowered his demands on that Field. He's bought a family car, and is about to ask his bitchy girlfriend to marry. That goes wrong, probably to the best for Stian. No comfort to get from the family. Even the parents takes the girlfriend's side, and his old friend Anders is frequently visiting them, way more successful it seems. Then he gets the idea of renewing his friendship from way back, when he visited Umeå in Sweden on a sporting trip and met Robyn. He accidentally brings his annoying friend along, another mistake, of course.

This is filmmaker Norwegian Geir Greni's first feature film after at least ten short films. He is usually both writing, producing, directing. This film shows that he better invite others in when he makes a film. It's an awful lot of job on one man to do all these functions on a feature film.

This comedy isn't particularly funny, something which is a main problem for a comedy. I'm rather not a fan of comedies which makes fun of one individual the Whole film through, like this. Production value and the actors are good and always do a good job, but this script is impossible for them to act on. It gets a bit embarrassing, childish and stupid I'm afraid, and even worse, boring.

The film is OK, the first 15 minutes, but then it downward spirals. It didn't work for me, and I'm afraid I have to say this is one of the 5 worst Norwegian films I've seen the last 10 years, and I've seen most of them. It's not funny, it's Down right depressing, but it might work for others.

See the quality comedy "Broken Flowers" instead, or one of the many great Norwegian comedies. There's a lot of funny Norwegian films! This is far from one of them.
