Richard Gere Doesn’t Think Intimacy Coordinators Would Have Worked in the ’80s
Image
Since the #MeToo movement began in the late 2010s, a new person has been added to the crew of many films and television shows that include love scenes or nudity: the intimacy coordinator, who works with actors and filmmakers to plot out comfortable levels of contact and exposure in those scenes.

Some actors swear by intimacy coordinators, with Dakota Johnson and Michelle Williams praising their work on “Materialists” and “Dying for Sex” recently. Some prefer not to use them, a decision that Mikey Madison made for her Oscar-winning performance in “Anora.”

And some actors are puzzled by them. Richard Gere, who became a star in the late 1970s and early ’80s in a string of sexually-explicit films like “American Gigolo,” “Looking for Mr. Goodbar,” “An Officer and a Gentleman” and “No Mercy,” falls into this camp, judging by a recent Wrap interview with the stars of the Paramount+/Showtime series “The Agency.

Worst Father of WWE, Vince McMahon Did Not Hesitate to Choke Stephanie McMahon With a Lead Pipe
Image
Vince McMahon will always be remembered as one of the pioneers of the business world for creating a global giant like WWE. Despite his personal reputation taking a major hit in the last few years, no one could ever take the accomplishment of founding WWE away from him.

In fact, McMahon was one of the few CEOs who would go to great lengths for the success of his company. This even involved getting into altercations and fights with his own family members. One such instance saw him choke out his own daughter, Stephanie McMahon, which possibly labelled him as the worst father, of course, only on WWE television programming.

Why did Vince McMahon choke out his own daughter? Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon at WWE No Mercy 2003/ Credits: WWE

In 2003, Stephanie McMahon was the General Manager of Friday Night SmackDown, elected by her own father, Vince McMahon. However, McMahon began...

The Only Time Clint Eastwood And Martin Scorsese Ever Collaborated
Image
In 2003, Martin Scorsese was cooling off after his long-in-the-making epic "Gangs of New York." Although that film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards, some of Scorsese's fans now consider "Gangs of New York" to be an overstuffed film that took way too much time to percolate (Scorsese had initially envisioned the project back in 1970). After fighting so hard to get "Gangs of New York" made and bearing the publicity whirlwind around its Oscars campaign, Scorsese needed a rest.

Scorsese rested in the way an active and prolific director rests: he churned out another project. 2003 saw the release of a multipart documentary series called "The Blues," which Scorsese produced and directed the first episode of. "The Blues" was a seven-episode film cycle, with each chapter detailing a different corner of the vast American Blues experience. Each episode was helmed by a different famous director. The series aired on PBS in September...

Halle Berry’s ‘Bruised’ Soundtrack Includes H.E.R., Cardi B and Saweetie From Warner Records (Exclusive)
Image
Warner Records will issue the soundtrack for actress Halle Berry’s directorial debut film “Bruised” on Nov. 19. The Netflix feature — which Berry also stars in as a disgraced M.M.A. fighter — debuts on the streamer on Nov. 24, after a limited one-week run in theaters.

“I can’t wait to show it,” Berry tells Variety. “I have to tell you, one of the things I’m most excited about is the title song that H.E.R. sang… and she killed it. So I can’t wait to share with everyone and am super excited.”

Hand-selected by executive producers Berry and Cardi B, the film’s soundtrack features six original songs by award-winning and multi-platinum female artists, including Cardi B (“Bet It”), Saweetie (“Attitude”), City Girls (“Scared”), H.E.R. Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita in Karate Kid: A Hora da Verdade (1984)
Cobra Kai: How the Show’s Martial Arts Level Up in Season 3
Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita in Karate Kid: A Hora da Verdade (1984)
This article contains Cobra Kai season 3 spoilers.

Despite its iconic standing within the martial arts genre, the martial arts in The Karate Kid have never been outstanding. Sure, the crane kick is a classic, but from a technical standpoint, it’s not that impressive. Ralph Macchio had no martial arts training prior to undertaking the role of Daniel. In many ways, that’s part of the charm. Whether you know martial arts or not, Daniel’s wax on, wax off awkwardness makes Macchio’s portrayal more genuine.

Throughout the film franchise, it was Daniel’s adversaries who were the martial artists. William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence) had a background in wrestling prior to the first film and continued to train in Tang Soo Do under Master Pat E. Johnson after it wrapped (Johnson played the referee and trained the actors for the film.) Martin Kove (John Kreese) studied Gosoku-ryu Karate under the founder of that style,...

Michael B. Jordan Voted 2020's Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine
Image
Michael B. Jordan has been dubbed by People magazine as 2020's Sexiest Man Alive, making the Black Panther star the latest celebrity to be given the flattering moniker. The news comes about seven years after Jordan was named in the publication's first annual "Ones to Watch" portfolio based on his work in Fruitvale Station. Although Jordan has achieved a lot with his career in the years since, the actor is still feeling very good about earning this year's Sexiest Man Alive title.

"It's a cool feeling," Jordan, who is up to direct Creed 3 as well as return to star, says of the honor. "You know, everybody always made that joke, like, 'Mike, this is the one thing you're probably not going to get.' But it's a good club to be a part of."

Jordan also says that the women in his family "are definitely proud of this one," noting...

Aew Game Could Take Us Back to the Golden Age of Wrestling Games
Madeleine Stowe and Emily VanCamp in Revenge (2011)
WWF No Mercy‘s generally accepted status as the greatest wrestling game ever made has always been a pleasant curiosity in a world that’s often defined by our divisiveness and desire to argue for the sake of arguing.

WWF No Mercy is so beloved that it’s often hard to get someone to analytically break it down without eventually succumbing to wistful ramblings. Yet, the qualities that made the game so special really aren’t that complicated. In fact, much of the game’s success can be attributed to how uncomplicated it was.

Essentially an evolution of developer Aki Corporation’s previous N64 wrestling games (which notably included WCW/nWo Revenge and WWF WrestleMania 2000), No Mercy‘s calling card was its arcade-like gameplay that emphasized a rock/paper/scissors style system of stong/weak grapples, strikes, and counters. It was remarkably uncomplicated to pick up and play, but deep enough to master.

John Kreese Will Have a More Vulnerable and Human Side in Cobra Kai Season 2
When Johnny Lawrence's (William Zabka) old cruel sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove) showed up at the end of Cobra Kai Season 1, I about lost my shit! That was such an awesome, unexpected surprise because I thought he was dead! After he showed up and the final episode of the season ended, I immediately began to think of all of the bad and evil things that he will bring into Johnny's life in Season 2. After all, he was the one who drilled "No Mercy" into his students, but it sounds like that may not be the direction they are going to take the character.

During a recent interview with Syfy Wire, Kove talked about his excitement to get to play the character again and he shared some info on how the character will be handled next season. According to the actor, we will see a more human and vulnerable side of Kreese:

"You know,...

Every piece of evidence they discover points toward the extremist environmentalist Lee and the case seems to close when he is arrested. However, things become complicated when Kang’s daughter is kidnapped.
