Since, 9/11, lockers have been removed from many airports, train & bus stations, etc. Especially in New York City. This film was set present day when it was released in 2012. Therefore, the lockers didn't exist anymore.

While on the run and hiding out from the Russian Mafia, using a Russian gangster's credit card after killing him to rent out a hotel room isn't the smartest thing to do. The mob can track and trace the card to that particular hotel.
